A tremendous tour into nature! - This was definitely one of the best days in Oman! Wadi Shab is a tremendous place. Nature is so beautiful that you think you're in a paradise. Mahmoud was a great tour guide! Like for the watermelons and delicious Omani homemade pasta dishes he prepared for us.

Abdulrahman was the best! - Abdul Rahman was an amazing guide. He paced himself to the clients he had and was cheerful and engaging. I didn’t realize that the heights would bother me so much, he literally held my hand during the difficult parts. I would definitely recommend Abdulrahman as a guide.

Refreshing pools - Good trip. We went in Ramadan so it was quiet. The hike is rocky with steps. You need trainers. The water and caves were amazing and so refreshing. We were provided with a lunch stop on the beach. The sink hole was less impressive but still a good stop. Abdullah our guide was very professional and a good driver.

Worth a visit to Oman - Very beautiful nature, relatively comfortable schedule, beautiful guide Mohammed. Afraid it would be hard because of the long cost or the heat, but it went great, didn't regret it.

great experience - wadi shab is a combination of so many different conditions that deeply fascinate you: local fruit trees, hiking path, swiming in clear waters and then finally the cave, very hard access which then pays you back for the beauty of that place. anybody not being a proved walker and a very good swimmer (however, upon departure at the jetty you may even rent a life jacket) should think twice before undertaking this adventure

Blue pools and hidden waterfalls - great day trip! - A really wonderful experience. Our guide Abdallah was great, giving us advice, very friendly and knowledgeable. Once we arrived at the Wadi, it is a good 50-60m in hike, and even in March it was 32 degrees C and very hot. So bring a hat and water. The gorge is stunning and we saw palm dates, banana trees, Abdallah taught us how to skim rocks and showed us the tiny frogs and dragonflies. When you get to the swimming section, it was so nice and cool. It's a good 20 min swm and scramble over rocks to the cave. A bit claustrophobic getting in and you need to tread water but the waterfall and cave is amazing. The sink hole also made another nice swim. If you come during Ramadan, remember no lunch place will be open but the sandwiches and snacks provided were fine. Probably worth buying the water shoes they suggest (at the gas station on the way or beforehand) as the rocks aren't so much sharp but very slippery! And a waterproof camera (with flotation on it) or a good waterproof pouch for your phone means you can take photos all the way into the cave. A really great tour to a special place with an excellent guide.

Highlight of my trip - The videos do not do Wadi Shab justice. It was a really incredible excursion and the highlight of my entire trip to Oman. The guides were incredibly attentive and one even offered to carry my backpack, when he learned that I had some health issues. The walk/swim through the pools is much longer than expected, so might not be suitable for elderly travelers, but it was great fun for me and the cave at the end is simply incredible. This should be included in all those bucket lists you see floating around, but I’m glad that it isn’t, because it’s not terribly overcrowded. Do take enough water though…45min might not sound like much, but on the way in, you‘ll be walking in the sun and it‘s much more taxing than expected, even if the climb itself isn’t very steep. Also: wear good shoes with grip (both on the hike and in the water); the way can be very slippery. I’d say the sinkhole at the end was just alright…it’s an ok add-on but most of us didn’t actually go in, since we‘d spent so much time in the water at the Wadi already. The one thing I’d change is to have lunch somewhere else. We were offered snacks in the parking lot, standing in the direct sun… we could have found a much better spot somewhere else. Other than that, however, the day was perfect.

Must do if in Oman! - Honestly a fantastic experience! Both sites were incredible, especially the wadi! The tour guide was really nice and friendly, and made sure the group all got to the water safely from the hike. Despite it being Ramadan, food/water/refreshemnts were provided

Be very carefull - The Wadi is visually spectacular and no doubt an experience to remember. However, one has to be prepared for a decent walk that needs in parts some seroius concentration from the parking lot to where the excitement begins. Whe one gets into the water the rocks are covered in slime and difficult to walk and climb on to the extent that 2 out of our party of 5 who actually went into the water wanted to immediately turn back. I managed to get to the end of the first pool and when climbing out slipped, and slid smashing by head, arms and back to the extent that a week later I am still scabbed with weeping wounds and bruises the size of footballs In short, only 3 of the 7 people came out in one piece
