One of the best experiences in my whole life!!! - I wanna give you infinite thanks for your work: Mataro from the office, Sule and the rest of the crew with us during the safaris: everything was perfect and our group was completly satisfied! Everything was as good as we expected, I don´t think you can improve anything! I cannot complain about any point before, during or after our staying in Tanzania. Congratulations team!!! We will never forget these days in Tanzania, and your professional and perfect work is part of the success of these safari days, that we enjoyed 100%. I wanna add that food was even better than we expected: Osman is a great chef!!! People in our group still remember him and how delicious was his food! I would repeat with him without any doubt! Perfect 2 Land Cruiser, great eye Sule finding animals far from everybody... ASANTE SANA!!!

Unforgettable Safari - We did a 3-day Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater Safari. Mataro was happy to answer all of my questions and helping figure out the details of our trip. Mataro was quickly responsive, always friendly, and helped us make a plan that would work best for our goals. We had an incredible safari and saw everything we expected and more. Our guide, Henry, was somewhat quiet but very experienced and knew how to find great animal sightings and have us in the best position to see unbelievable events like a lion stalking a zebra, recently born cheetah and lion cubs, and a leopard. They were prepared for vehicle issues like flat tires so we always got back on the road fast. Our cook, Emmanuel, served up delicious food and was always a smiling face. He was completely accommodating of our special diet requests: a few vegetarians and a peanut allergy. I would definitely recommend doing a safari with Friends of Africa!

Amazing Trip!! - We had Henry as our guide and Emmanuel as our chef. The tour was amazing and Henry knew where all the best animals were. Henry can also change a flat tire in 20 minutes--we did not even have to get out of the car. The food was great and Emmanuel was very accommodating to the vegetarians on the trip. The camp sites with tents were also very nice and had bathrooms and little dinning rooms. The camp site in Ngorongoro crater was particularly beautiful and the zebras seemed to enjoy it too. My only feedback is that I would have enjoyed more educational information about the animals during the tours. Definitely would do this trip again in a heartbeat!!!

Good trip. Logistics could be better - We only did Serengeti not Ngorogoro. Decent price with what was offered. The guide was very knowledgeable. There were some issues with food. Lunch boxes had ants in it on both days. The rest houses could use some better cleanliness and s fan as it got really hot overnight. Overall a positive experience

Do not trust Friends of Africa... - I’m not very happy with the organization Friends of Africa… In may 2019 me and my fellow nursing student started a safari. At first the contact with Mataro was very nice, he reacted fast and everything looked good. But then there was a problem with the payment, we already did our deposit (520 dollar) but with the rest of the money there was a problem (1220 dollar). The money came to late because it was taking a week (7 days) before Pesapal transferred it to there account, it was the first time they used pesapal so that was the problem why it took so long. The evening before our safari would started on Saturday we got to hear that without the money we could not leave until monday, because then the money would arrive. At that moment we were stressed because we were in mwanza and the safari should bring us to Arusha. Because we had to leave soon we decides in good cooperation wit Mataro we would pay 1220 dollar cash extra so we could make our domestic flight in Arusha. Mataro ensured us that we would get the money back and gave us a receive with the company stamp and signature with a date when we would get the money back (30th may). We trusted Mataro and we did not really have other options. NOW almost the 30th of NOVEMBER we still did NOT get our 1220 DOLLAR back from them. Every time there are promises that we will get it later and that we will get is soon of that his partner is out of town but it is now 6 months later so we gave up the hope and accepted that we were scammed. The safari we did was very nice, the food was good and Emanuel and Manuel were so friendly. But the organization Friends of Africa destroyed it for us, they STOLE 1220 DOLLAR from us. Be careful who you trust, we learned from it. We have closed this chapter now and won’t react on reactions from Friends of Africa, it is to late now. If other people have questions, feel free to ask.
