A Journey Begins: From Mwanza to the Serengeti

As a wildlife photographer, my heart beats in rhythm with the pulse of Africa’s wild landscapes. This year, my journey took me to Mwanza, a city that serves as a gateway to the legendary Serengeti National Park. The anticipation of witnessing the raw beauty of the Serengeti was palpable as I embarked on a two-day safari adventure.

The drive from Mwanza to the Ndabaka gate, the western entrance of the Serengeti, was a prelude to the wonders that awaited. The landscape unfolded like a living canvas, with the Grumeti River weaving through it, teeming with life. Birds soared above, and the occasional glimpse of a reptile sunning itself on the riverbank hinted at the diversity of life that calls this place home.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by Godson, my knowledgeable guide from Shrike Safaris. The following morning, a final game drive offered one last chance to soak in the Serengeti’s splendor before returning to Mwanza.
