Your journey will commence from your lodging at 9.00am. The pathway is adorned with rich flora, fields of olive and orange trees, and occasionally crosses the quaint village of Ait Imour. From there, we’ll diverge from the beaten path, traversing a starkly contrasting landscape of rock desert, sparse light brown plateaux, a Bedouin settlement, green…
Your journey will commence from your lodging at 9.00am. The pathway is adorned with rich flora, fields of olive and orange trees, and occasionally crosses the quaint village of Ait Imour. From there, we’ll diverge from the beaten path, traversing a starkly contrasting landscape of rock desert, sparse light brown plateaux, a Bedouin settlement, green Oasis, and elevated ridges offering stunning views of the High Atlas. As the journey progresses, stretches of green start to appear, and soon you will find yourself back on the paved road flanked by aged eucalyptus trees. You’ll reach the shores of the Lalla Takerkoust lake. Traveling over rolling hillocks along the dam, you’ll land in the Nfis valley, passing through Berber tribes and reaching a typical Berber household. Post lunch, an optional 2-hour hike awaits. You’ll proceed to Ouiragan via a dense forest, archaic salt pools before stopping at Asni, a petite town (with a Saturday market), boasting an exceptional view of Toubkal – North Africa’s tallest peak.
