A Journey Through Time: The Berber Experience

As the sun began to rise over Marrakech, I found myself eagerly anticipating the adventure that lay ahead. The Agafay Desert Day Trip promised a journey through the Atlas Mountains and Berber villages, a perfect blend of culture, nature, and adventure. Here, we were treated to a traditional Moroccan meal, a feast of Berber Tajine and couscous that was both delicious and nourishing. Sharing a meal with Mustapha’s family was a heartwarming experience, a testament to the hospitality and warmth of the Berber people.

As the day drew to a close, we made our way back to the Agafay Desert to witness the sunset. The barren light brown plateaus and high hills provided a stunning backdrop as the sun dipped below the horizon. It was a moment of tranquility, a chance to reflect on the day’s adventures and the beauty of the world around us.

Throughout the day, Mustapha ensured we were well taken care of, providing us with tea, water, and orange juice to keep us refreshed. His attention to detail and passion for sharing his culture made the experience truly unforgettable. As we returned to Marrakech, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to explore such a diverse and beautiful region.
