Lessons start on land with a 15-20 minute dry training session focusing on proper technique for paddling, popping up, and balance.
Once the basics are mastered, ocean safety and water conditions are discussed at the waters edge.
Then to the waves we go! The remaining portion of the lesson is spent with your instructor in the water practice everything you just learned on land.
Our encouraging and fun instructors will continue working with you on your timing, stance, and positioning in the wave to optimize your success. In no time you will be riding waves and shredding the gnar! You’ll be stoked you caught the surf bug at Jack’s Surf Lessons in Myrtle Beach.
We keep a 3:1 student to instructor ratio to make sure everyone gets the attention they need. Please call for private lessons.

Your mentor will be with you every step of the way, teaching you everything you need to know about surfing in order to enjoy the remainder of your vacation. The only thing you need to bring is your swimming costume, as we’ll provide the surfboard; all set for a fabulous time riding the waves.

- Please wear a bathing suit and bring a towel. Sun protection such as sunscreen is strongly advised
