Great tour - We scheduled this trip with another couple. We enjoyed the smaller group and felt it was more personal. We had numerous questions as we went along. They all were answered, some with a touch of humor! We saw numerous birds and were educated on their habitats. We also were educated on the river and how it was made. It was a very enjoyable morning. I would definitely recommend. We will plan on coming back with our grandchildren, so they can enjoy a pleasant ride and learning all about the river!!

Wonderful photo opportunities - The boat was comfortable and the captain a serious professional. The young lady that did narrated the tour was knowledgeable and filled with humor. A great combination. As an avid photographer I was in my element. Ospreys, turtles, Anhinga and more. So take the long glass and have a good shoot. Most of all enjoy the natural environment that the tour shows. It’s really beautiful.

Well worth checking this out. - Starting with a peacock that lives in the area and eats cheerios out of your hand, this was a great experience. Captain’s Sid and Michelle were excellent hosts and the narration was very entertaining and informative. We also got to see Ospreys, turtles and gators and the time passed very quickly. Well worth the price and no asking for tips so we made some purchases at the gift shop to help support the business.

Attention to Details - The boat tour was fun, interesting, and relaxing, but what made it extra enjoyable is their attention to the details. They could have skipped these details, and it would still be an interesting tour, but the thoughtfulness they put into the tour makes it extra enjoyable. First, to make sure everyone has enough room to sit comfortably on the boat, and room to sit with their families, they sell only 80% of the boat’s seats. They even said, “if you have a family of four, take two of the 3-person benches”. Also, they had an audio system for the guide. She could have spoken loud and we probably could have heard her, but having the audio system made sure we could. Plus, it had 8-10 speakers so it was easy to hear her anywhere on the boat, and the volume was just right. And when her mic started to have static, the captain had another one ready as a back-up. The guide also had a powerful laser pointer so she could point out wildlife so people could see it. It was clearly visible, even in bright sun, so it was easy to find what she was talking about. She was very knowledgeable and added the right amount of humor so that it was enjoyable but not cheesy. I could add another dozen things, but you get the idea. It was well worth the price we paid. The only slight criticism is that they have only one bathroom (in the ticket office) so there was a line. It worked fine, but a second bathroom would be nice. There is also a bathroom on the boat.

Beautiful part of South Carolina History - The tour was amazing, the guide had great knowledge and was very informative and funny. We had great time. The rain came down and we missed a little bit, but could see some alligators and birds. also learned about the region and everything that was done in the past. From plantations of ride to utilization of those water channels during war. A must visit if you want to learn about South Carolina history.
