Highly encouraged to go! - What can we say. Wife found on line and booked a tour. Fortunately it was that last one of the season. Agnes was very good with her knowledge of the river, great with the story telling of the river, made it very interesting and engaging for all the individuals that went along with us. She was very quick witted and not insulting to anyone that asked a question. She made it fun for all ages. The Captain was great in maneuvering the boat around the river. My only suggestion is go when the bird and wild life might be for visible for everyone to see. The birds seem to have migrated and animals, that hibernate, getting ready for winter. I would also say that children from about 8 and up will find it very interesting to learn about the river and the surrounding area. Go, have a great time and enjoy.

Absolutely fabulous people and even better environment! - The atmosphere and overall mood of the captain and the tour guide Agnes. The banter and jokes that they had made the tour insanely entertaining and the information that Agness was able to provide for us with all the cool history and awesome information about the river and the immense historical significance that this area has had! We had to stop at the gift shop as well and the ladies inside eere so welcoming and amazing, especcially the neat trinkets and the fabulous honey from tupolo trees! We always will remember the tour and would recommend it to absolutely every single person who's coming down to the myrtle beach area!

Great history lesson - My husband and I really enjoyed this tour! Although we didn't see a wide variety of birds, due to late October, the turtles and alligator was interesting. Loved the history lesson from our guide, Agnes!

Fun River Ride on The Waccamaw !:) - The trip started off with a friendly southern welcome by the proprietor and staff - the riverboat experience which followed was amazing. For several of out fellow passengers this was a second or third time trip! Our captain and crew made us comfortable and ensured our safety at all times. Agnes our guide was a wealth of knowledge on both the history of the river and surrounding area and the river’s wildlife. We managed to see an adult male alligator close-up along with a variety of other river wildlife. I learned so much in a fun way. I would highly recommend this tour.

Very informative and entertaining - This was an excellent trip. The crew were so good. Made sure we were comfortable and Gad everything we needed. Agnes did an amazing job of not only informing us about the wildlife and history, but also was extremely entertaining and personable. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We didn't see an alligator, but then, it was cold

fun tour - funny tour guide with great sense of humor. it was a beautiful day but temps dropped from the day before so the 2 gators we saw weren't showing a lot of themselves

Raw nature - Warm wonderful workers . Agnus amused us with truths & wonderment. We learned about the cypress trees that get their nutrients with the bark. And some are very old. We spotted yellow line sliding turtles, gators, nesting birds. The sites are those of movies but natural. Great off the trail tour.

It was OK - It was OK, we enjoyed our time. We have done a lot of river tours in our time. This was the 70th river in 22 states covering 1515 miles over the past 50 years. So, trust us, we have a lot of credence to make comparisons. The cruise was pleasant, good narrator, beautiful weather (never guaranteed), good history, a small amount of wildlife (3 gators, some wetland birds, and some empty osprey nests). The scenery was interesting, but nothing to take a picture of. There were only 2 children on board, but the narration was overly focused to entertaining the children. Bottom line: it was a nice way to kill a few hours on a beautiful fall day, but it you miss it, don't feel like you have been cheated out of a significant life experience.
