The Real Nadi - Our family (3 adults) joined the Nadi Cultural walking tour. Our tourist guide, John was very knowledgable & informative. He took us to the Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple first. We learnt about Hindu’s influence to Fijian’s religion. The colourful Hinduism’s story painted on the roof of the temple. Then we moved to the local handcraft market, John told us the history of Fiji’s timber made communication instrument & how powerful it can be if used effectively with the wind direction. He also told us what were the true local products selling in the markets. After that we walked to the fruit & vegetables market, it was so eye opening. John explained to us various local fruit produces & we tasted some of them. He also showed us a whale tooth ornament and why it became a signifiant heirloom for Fijian family & even for the environment. This walking tour is absolutely fantastic for & we gained a great understanding of the Fijian culture. It will be a memorable experience during our Fiji visit.

Great Walking Tour - John was s great guide. I was lucky and had a solo guided tour. We went to the market, a Hindu temple and other local sites. It was a good way to learn something about Fiji from someone who is passionate.

This was our first time visiting the island. We decided to go on the (2) hour walking tour of the downtown area.John our guide was very friendly and very informative . Wish I would have taken this tour the first time we were in Fiji - This is the second time we’ve visited Nadi and have thoroughly enjoyed snorkeling, swimming with sharks, fine dinning at port restaurants and the pampering we’ve received at 2 resorts. However this time 2 days before we flew home we took the Culture Walking tour of downtown Nadi which opened an entirely different Nadi as well as the country and inhabitants of Fiji than we had been exposed to. In addition to being incredibly knowledgeable of Fijian culture and history tour guide John is an excellent communicator and made the subject matter so interesting it made me wish I had taken the tour at the start of one of our trips. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended.. My wife also wanted to add a review of the tour: My husband and I had a fantastic experience on the Discover Nadi Culture: Guided Walking Tour with John as our guide. John is incredibly knowledgeable about Fiji’s history and culture, with deep insights into the temple, local cuisine, and handcrafted markets. He has an excellent sense of how to engage with his group, pacing the tour perfectly and welcoming any questions along the way. His communication is clear, and he’s genuinely committed to making the experience both informative and enjoyable. We highly recommend John—he’s a seasoned guide who makes you feel comfortable and well-informed throughout the tour.

Fascinating introduction to Nadi. - Great walking tour, taking in the Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple, the handicraft market and the municipal market, where we got to try kava for the first time. John was a very knowledgeable tour guide, and he was able to share lots of hints and tips, especially in the market. We'd have preferred to have spent to less time at the temple, and more time at the market learning about the various foods and how to prepare and cook them. This isn't really a tour for children - so if you're intent on bringing them along, have the decency to let the guide know beforehand!

Nadi Town experience - The Tour guy John was amazing, friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of the things and places we went to on the day. But if I have to be honest about my feedback on this experience, you can literally do this on your own with no charge apart from the Temple which is only $5 entry. We could've saved what we paid for to do another activity instead. But nevermind it's done and will not do it again.
