Fijian experience great - the drivers caused stress unnecessarily - Wonderful museum to experience and discover Fijian culture. Tour of the buildings, crafts, making fire and so much more, the food, cava ceremony and then the entertainment was top notch. The only disappointment was that the drivers decided to take us home 40minutes before agreed (the booking person, driver who took us there and the MC all told us the same time but then we were dragged out urgently 40 minutes before this time) and before the entertainment was over so we felt very disappointed by this but we felt that we had to go or we wouldn’t be able to get back to our hotel. Our Fijian hosts were absolutely wonderful, we learnt so much and really appreciated the skill and love that went into everything. We would’ve loved to have stayed and purchased some of what they had made as presents to take home as well as not ending the evening with so much stress and urgency from the drivers.

Fun in Fiji - I am giving this a 5 for the experience as a whole. Culture, history, food, entertainment, and transport. But I’d give it a 6 if I could for their shear determination for preservation of the Fiji culture, and showing us visitors a good Fijian time.

If you only do one tour in Fiji, make it this one. - Initially we were disappointed when we arrived and heard that half of the village was inaccessible due to the weather and that only 2 structures could be viewed. The beginning of the tour was very slow as waves of visitors arrived and we heard the welcoming song 3 times before we started the official guided tour. The guide bought the village and Fijian history to life for the group. Next we went and saw the food removed from the lovo (underground cooking) and leaned how it was set to cook so well. The array of food was amazing and plentiful. There was fish and chicken but plenty for vegetarians as well. Then we had the kava ceremony. The absolute highlight, though, was the entertainment provided by the villagers. The voices and dancing was superb. They even got most of the audience involved in the snake dance (congo line) and it was both entertaining and a great laugh! This was followed by the women dancing, the warriors doing the cibi. Nothing was better than the fire dancers at the end. It might have been a slow start but by the end we all felt the cost of the tour was well worth the money.

Great Cultural Experience - We loved the dancing, especially the fire dances. Our driver was prompt and picked up various groups along the way. We had a tour of the village and saw how they made pottery, and the various weapons the Fijians used. We got a bit of history of the culture of this beautiful island. The food was a typical Fijian feast followed by the dancing. Overall, this is a great way to learn about the history and the culture of this island.

Dress code! - Was a good experience however the showcase was not very thorough, actually. Occupants should be more native you know where traditional Fijian clothing... example for the warrior he was awesome wearing grass skirt. Even the rest they should wear proper Fijian attire... Like my family and I we wore same coloured pattern dresses and shirts because we thought going to the Fijian village... . people would wear the same as us. And it was not..hahahaha. Even catering teams just wore shorts and tops when placing plates and cutleries. I don't know if they are allowed to where anything they like but I doubt that. And can they wear gloves when organizing for the catering service..pleaaaasseee. Other than that everything was great. We really loved what we have experienced at the village. The tour was worth it. Thank you!
