Embrace the Spirit of Nadi: A Cultural Prelude to Christmas
As the festive season approaches, Nadi offers a unique blend of cultural immersion and relaxation, perfect for those seeking a pre-Christmas escape. With the weather forecast predicting a mix of rain and sunshine, it’s the ideal time to explore the indoor cultural gems and therapeutic experiences that Nadi has to offer.
Start your weekend with the Mud Pools and Garden Tour tour, available from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on December 21st. This excursion is a delightful journey through Fijian culture and natural beauty. Begin your day at the vibrant Lautoka Market, where you can sample local produce and engage with friendly vendors. The market is a sensory delight, with the aroma of fresh fruits and vegetables filling the air. As you wander through the stalls, you’ll feel the warmth of the Fijian community, eager to share their stories and traditions.
Next, immerse yourself in the tranquility of the Garden of the Sleeping Giant. Nestled in the shadows of two majestic mountains, this garden is home to a stunning collection of orchids and Cattleya hybrids. The lush greenery and vibrant blooms create a serene atmosphere, perfect for a leisurely stroll. As you explore the garden, take a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature and the rich history of the orchids, once the private collection of the late American actor Raymond Burr.
“A great experience packed full of beauty and fun - So glad we booked this excursion. Better than we hoped. Our guide was brilliant, lots of interesting knowledge and good humour made for a great day out. The markets were interesting, the temple was beautiful and our guide informed us about the Hindu religion which was truly interesting. The sleeping giant mountain and the orchid gardens were so beautiful, we took too many photos. The walk through the gardens to the top of the hill was so humid we look liked we’d been swimming, but soooo worth it. The mudbaths and thermal pools were the perfect way to finish off. Glad we were taken to the ones run by locals. If you’re wondering whether its worth it, I can assure you that you will not be disappointed!” - Reviewed on 2024-02-04

It’s an enlightening experience that showcases the rich cultural heritage of Fiji.
“Great Half Day Tour in Nadi - Our half-day exploration in Nadi was one of the highlights of our trip to Fiji. Our driver Dev always took care of us, including our 2 boys, and asked us many times if everything was okay. We enjoyed walking through the local market and beautiful nature at Garden of the Sleeping Giant, but the greatest experience was the mud pool! We still talk about it a lot as we had so much fun putting mud on our bodies and cleansing skins in the pool. It was also so refreshing especially after sweating from the walk in the garden. We highly recommend this tour if you have a limited time in Fiji but still would like to feel something local and unique to this wonderful country.” - Reviewed on 2024-04-30
