Beginning our journey in Nafplion, we first visit the historical site of Mycenae. Here we explore the legendary Kingdom of Agamemnon, home to the Mycenaean civilization, a highpoint of Greek prehistory. From there, we approach the grand Lions Gate, the main entryway to the palaces. Then we traverse the Cyclopean walls encircling the Acropolis, and not-to-miss burial structures of Atreus and Clytemnestra’s tholos tombs, key points of interest for enthusiasts of classical history. Our tour carries on to historic Epidaurus, spotlighting the well-preserved theatre, among Greece’s most renowned archaeological landmarks. Additionally, we’ll take a look at the Asclepieion of Epidaurus, once a hub for curing critical illnesses throughout ancient Greece. Numerous significant structures, such as the temple of Asklepios and Tholos, were founded around it.
