Our day begins by meeting with you and traveling towards the area of nemea, where we begin our tour at the ancient stadium of Nemea, built in the 4th century BC. Well known for the Nemean games, with a capacity of 40.000 spectators, it is one of the best preserved stadiums and we can still see the tunnel through which the athletes entered the stadium. We will also see the temple of Zeus, which was used for the religious events of the Games.

Additional Information
We start our day with you, heading to the Nemea region, where our journey takes off at the ancient Nemea stadium, constructed during the 4th century BC, adjacent to Zeus’s temple. Following this, we move on to explore two prominent wineries in this region, where you’ll be acquainted with the phases of the harvest process, the steps of wine making, and observe how wine comes to be. We’ll let you in on every secret of wine, treating you to tastes of various local blends. We wind up our tour by heading back to our initial pick up point.

Totally worth doing this tour! - Gina was fantastic! Very knowledgeable about the history of the surrounding areas. We had great experiences at both wineries.

Definitely pick this tour, you won't regret it! - We had a fantastic day with Gina our guide and George the driver. For me it was the perfect balance of a bit of history and sightseeing and then a great experience in two vineyards. We did prefer the smaller family vineyard personally. Gina and George were very happy to engage in conversation, answer our questions about life in Greece. A highly enjoyable day!

Highly recommended - Amazing experience. Gina was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the trip and was fun to spend time with. The wineries were both enjoyable, with the small family owned one being a highlight of the trip. I would highly recommend this very personalized trip for anyone looking for a quick day trip in the area with a nice mix of history and wine tasting!

Beautiful Nemea! - My husband and I had a fantastic day with Gina, our guide. She was lovely and very helpful. We visited 2 totally different wineries where we sampled some good wine and met some lovely people. Thrown in was also a trip to the Archaeological site of Nemea where we got plenty time to walk round the ancient stadium and the Temple of Zeus. All in all, what a great day we had. We would definitely book with GetYourGuide again. Very professional service!

Exceptionally Fun Wine Tour and Guide - What a phenomenal wine tour with Gina!! She was so much fun and brought much light into what was a cloudy, gloomy day weather wise! We had so much fun at all 3 wineries, but most special to us was our time at Barafakas Winery!

Lovely day in wine country - My husband and I really enjoyed this wine tour! We went to an ancient stadium, saw the Temple of Zeus, and then went to two gorgeous wineries. We loved learning more about the wine making process, the various wine regions throughout Greece, and trying the various delicious wines!

Nemea Wine Tour. - We enjoyed our Nemea wine tour with Gina. We were picked up in a luxury vehicle. Gina definitely made the tour more fun. She loves wine!! The wines we tasted were delicious and we purchased a few bottles for the next stops on our trip.

Nemea Wine Tour - This was a really great time. Our guide was super knowledgeable and clearly had connections to wineries in the region. We were ahead of schedule so she was able to get us an additional tasting at a winery at the last minute, which was a fun addition. Everyone was so polite at each winery and it was great to learn about the region's grape varieties and history.

Wine tour!!! - We had no idea Greece had such a rich tradition in winemaking!Our tour guide explained everything,the wineries were fantastic,the wines were a surprise for us!!We are definitely coming back to do some more Greek wine tasting with these guys!!!
