Wonderful food tour - Our guide Masa was wonderful! He took us to places we wouldn’t have found on our own and the food was delicious. It was a delightful evening.

Great Foodie Adventure - We were with Masa earlier for the cultural walking tour and had the greatest privilege of having him bring us around Nagano at night for a food and Sake feast. He brought us to several places including BBQ skewers in a Japanese Pub. handmade Soba. and finally Gyoza (Fried Dumplings) and FriedChicken Wings. Great food and great company. Highly recommended.

Wonderful experience from start to end. - Masashi was a wonderful guide to small restaurants we wouldn’t find on our own, and great conversationalist! He is an experienced traveler and knows a lot of good places to go and eat, along with sightsee not just in Nagano but also other parts of Japan. Would definitely go on another tour with him! I was worried that since it was just my group of myself and a friend it might be awkward, but all worries were pushed aside once the experience began.

Hidden food gems in Nagano nightlife - We had a great evening out with Masa. He brought us to some hidden gems.
Very nice food and interesting conversations in the heart of Nagano, an amazing city. Would recommend!

Wonderful experience in special restaurants with delicious food in great company - Masa did an awesome job introducing me to different restaurants and different kinds of food on this tour. The places were very special, the food delicious and we had wonderful conversation. Not only about food, but also about life in Japan in general. Thank you for an amazing evening!

Perfect first night activity - It was the perfect way to start our stay in Nagano. We ate some great food, learned about the history of the city and it was a way to orientate ourselves for the next few days. Masa was a great host; we had a great time.

A very enjoyable evening - I had a wonderful evening with Masa. I was is only customer, so I had is full attention. The establishments we visited were all very authentic and the food was very good. I especially liked the soba noodles and pickles made by one of the izakaya owner, a woman in her eighties. Masa is very knowledgeable about is hometown and about all there is to do around Nagano. I highly recommend his tour.

A wonderful evening! - I had a lovely evening touring the izakayas with Masa. I was his only client that evening, so I had his full attention. The establishments we visited were very authentic and the food was very good. I especially enjoyed the mushroom soba noodles and the pickles, all hand made by the izakaya owner, a woman in her eighties who was simply lovely. Masa is very knowledgeable about his hometown and about all that there is to see around Nagano. I highly recommend this tour.

Memorable food & drink tour - The izakaya night food tour was the highlight of my visit in Nagano. I was privileged to have a one on one evening food tour with an amazing tour guide, Masa who took me to three amazing food/drink through town. I was able to experience how the Nagano community gathered and enjoyed conversations and share their daily lives at these restaurants. Masa took the time to explain the types of foods I ate which all were delicious. The walk & conversation I had with Masa at the food tour will forever be a precious memory. I definitely recommend this tour with a fantastic food tour with Masa.
