Unexpected Himalayan Views During Monsoon - I had a beautiful experience on the Nagarkot Changunarayan Hike. Despite it being the monsoon season, I wasn't expecting to see the Himalayas, but I was incredibly lucky to get clear views of many peaks today. The scenery was breathtaking, and the hike itself was peaceful and rejuvenating. My guide was very helpful and knowledgeable, sharing insights that made the hike even more meaningful. I highly recommend this hike to anyone looking for a rewarding and scenic adventure.

Picturesque and enjoyable - Shepherds were very accommodating. They picked me up on time from my hotel and transported me to and from my hike. My guide, Rham, was very friendly and informative throughout the hike and always took the time to point out things that might be of interest. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a more personal experience when exploring Nepal or the surrounding areas.

Our favourite day in Nepal! - Had a wonderful day hiking through the hills from Nagarkot to Changu Narayan temple. Our guide, Ram, was excellent. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, he taught us so much about local customs, culture and religion throughout the trip. The trip gave us a chance to see Nepalese locals outside their own homes, and interact with them along the way, as we passed through numerous tiny villages. The hike is an easy one, suitable for anyone with a reasonable fitness level. We are approaching 60 years so if we can do it …. ! I had brought walking sticks with me and I’m glad I did as a lot of the walk is downhill so can be heavy on the knees if you have problems in that area. We were absolutely fine with sticks. Special mention must also go to our driver, Bandhu. This was the second time he’d driven us on a trip and we really enjoyed chatting with him about everything from local Nepalese politics to BBC 5 Live! He is also an excellent driver navigating the tricky streets and traffic with effortless expertise. Two wonderful trips with this company. Ramesh gets in touch with you quickly via WhatsApp once you have booked your trip, and is very responsive and helpful if you have any questions. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Day trek in Nepal! - Well I have almost finished my trip in Katmandu and after days of tours with shepherd holiday tours, I have seen all seven UNESCO sites, viewed Mount Everest and now I can say, trekked some trails of Nepal. Thanks Umesh and Bandhu!

Hiking - The tour was really cool. Our tour guide was really nice and answered all our questions! He also had a lot of knowledge about the gods in Hinduism and showed us a local type of yogurt which was delicious!

Sunrise in Nagarkot - Great sunrise thanks to Ramesh who came to pick us up from the hotel. Everything is really great 👍. It’s definitely worth doing, it’s magnificent, even if we couldn’t see the Himalayan range because of the mist. Ramesh takes care of us and we learned a lot about Nepal even if we don't speak English very well. The little cafe was very nice and the return too, he even offered us a detour to see a temple if we wanted. I recommend this 4 hour excursion to see the sun. Danibad Ramesh

A walk through Nepalese villages - We wanted to see the sunset over the mountains but unfortunately there was too much mist/ clouds. The weather should be better in Sept/Oct/Nov. The hike was easy and guided us across the small villages with great views! Can recommend. This tour does not allow for you yo ho to the temple, just see it from the outside.

a nice getaway from the noisy city - Although the visibility in April is not great, still the walking route is very nice filled with local houses, forest trails and spiritual places. Both the driver and the guide were nice and very knowledgeable - a great and enjoyable conversation
