Favorite tour guide during 2 weeks in Japan - We had a fantastic experience using City Unscripted in Nagasaki with guide Armand. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and tailored the tour to fit our interests. Armand shared fascinating insights into Nagasaki’s history and culture that we would not have discovered on our own. His enthusiasm and passion for the city made the experience truly memorable. City Unscripted and Armand reached out weeks before the tour to ask about our interests and what we'd most like to see, do, eat, experience. I loved this conscientious interaction to create a dream Nagasaki day! Armand met the 4 of us at the Cruise Terminal as planned. Our lunch was one of the best we ate during our 2 weeks in Japan. It was a small restaurant off of the tourist path featuring incredible Wagyu teppanyaki. While every moment was filled with new experiences, the other tour highlight was having tea in a Buddhist temple prepared by the tea master monk! I highly recommend this tour and suggest that you request Armand!

Nagasaki walking food tour with Shin - Shin picked us up just outside the Cruise Terminal. He took us on a walkabout in Nagasaki city. We get to taste the Chinese food (different kinds of noodles and black pork dishes). We also got to try Japanese Manju, fresh sashimi, and local beer. At the end of the tour, we asked him to drop us off at a shopping mall and he did so with the instructions of how to get back to the Cruise Terminal. Thanks, Shin for giving us such a memorable tour of Nagasaki. Kham September 2024

Great food in Nagasaki - Armand was waiting for us when we came off our cruise ship. We had communicated by email after booking about what foods we wanted to try during the walking tour so the tour was arranged accordingly. He took us to have wagyu, sashimi, Castella cake, and sake tasting! Needless to say, everything was delicious! Armand actually went an hour over in order to get everything in. He is very professional and really tries to make sure you get the most out of your time.

Excellent afternoon - great for kids! - Armand showed us more about his adopted hometown than we've experienced during food tours in other cities, and we learned a great deal about Nagasaki's unique history. It was our pleasure to spend the afternoon with him. He was engaging and perfectly suited to make the experience positive for our children. And, of course, the food was excellent! I very highly recommend the wagyu place he picked out. First rate! One note, so expectations are clear: plan to walk fast! It's worth it to see so much of this beautiful city.

Delicious food, great company, lovely walk - We enjoyed our time with Armand as he took us to try FRESH sashimi at a lovely restaurant. Everything there was delicious. After lunch we had a pleasant walk to a temple which was very beautiful. There we enjoyed a casual tea ceremony where we met some lovely locals celebrating a 90th birthday. The grounds were calming and serene. Next we walked through the city and an arcade to best ice cream shop! All in all a great day. Thank you Armand!

Nagasaki Walking Food Tour with Senyo - I booked a walking food tour of Nagasaki in November and was assigned Senyo as the guide. Senyo made early communication, including a survey, to establish our interests and tailor the tour specifically to us. He was very easy to talk to and it was evident that he really enjoyed meeting new people as a part of his job as a tour guide. During the tour itself, Senyo took us to some pre-planned destinations but was also extremely flexible and allowed us to alter the tour to suit the vibe we were looking for. It was a great way to see Nagasaki on foot and familiarise ourselves with the city. Senyo stayed to guide us longer than the actual tour was booked for because we were having so much fun and when he left us, he provided us with a detailed itinerary of how to catch the rope way up to Mt. Inasa where we saw the beautiful city lit up and evening fireworks. I could not recommend booking a tour with Senyo more highly. He really helped us make the most of the small amount of time we had in Nagasaki and showed us many hidden gems of the city!

Tasty Food Tour in Nagasaki - We took a short 3 hour food tour of Nagasaki with Maasaki. Wow! We had some delicious tastings of local Nagasaki specialties. After the tour Maasaki took us up to Mt Inasa for a ride on the cable car to the top. What a spectacular view of the city with surrounding mountains and sea. Our guide was thoughtful, helpful and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed everything! Thank you for sharing your beautiful city with us!
