A National Licensed Guide makes a difference - I've been traveling to Japan for about a dozen times now, and the japanese culture and history never ceases to amaze. I don't speak Japanese, which is a big minus. That's where a nationally licensed guide makes the difference. Todd is middle-aged and has lived in the States. That makes his English understandable. This helps a whole lot. When you book private day tours, there is indeed a lot of discussion on what your preferences are, how the weather affects today's tour, timing and scheduling, etc. Todd knew what we wanted. Everything was on time. Places that disallowed cameras and places that allowed cameras but without flash, reserving seats in a popular restaurant, what best to order, where the vehicle will drop you and later meet you, these are all tour aspects an experienced and licensed guide can make your day tour experience happy and fulfilling. With Todd, everything was smooth, pleasant and efficient. Thanks, Todd.

Highly recommend - Tatsuya Ito was amazing ! We had a fantastic day. Tatsuya met us at the port, helped us navigate the trains and took us to several spots in Nagoya. He explained everything well, was responsive to our needs, did not rush the day but got us back to the ship in time. Highly recommend.

Fun day trip around Nagoya City - Sammy was very knowledgable and explained the history and stories behind the sites we visited. She helped us reserve good restaurants on various days of our trips. She also showed us the good shopping places and even took our group photos for us.

Worth it! - Todd is amazing ! I truly enjoyed my tour in Nagoya. It was very well prepared and he even had an itinerary with him to show me the routes and places which we agreed upon through email. I truly appreciated how he contacted me immediately after I booked and planned it. As a guide he is very knowledgeable and was able to adapt to my personality. ( I'm introverted) Also he's very nice. He even had cute origamis as a gift. Is this tour worth it ? 100% Is the guide good ? Absolutely! Informative ? Yes and yes.

Great Nagoya Experience - My guide Matt was great. We explored Inuyama Castle, Atsuta Shrine, and Nagoya Castle. We also grabbed lunch at a local noodle shop which was delicious. We traveled from location to location via train/subway which I enjoyed because it helped me get a better feel for the city and how the local people get around. Each location was great for pictures and Matt provided a lot of historical details that I probably wouldn’t have been able to Google if I explored on my own. All in all a great experience and highly recommend this to anyone looking to get a solid introduction to Nagoya.

Beautiful Nagoya - Enjoyed a private tour with our guide who was so knowledgeable about the history of where we were. It was great to be able to plan a tour to the places we wanted to see. A bonus that she snuck in a few can’t miss places since we had extra time.

Excellent private tour with local guide. - We wanted to visit some specific places during our cruise stop in Nagoya. The tour operator gave us all the information ahead of time including the name and contact details of our tour guide. I informed him of the 3 places we wanted to visit during the day and he organized a good and precise schedule, especially knowing the importance of arriving well in advance to the cruise and avoid being left behind. Yoshii met us at the port and then we took a train to the city. During the ride he told us about the history of japan and very useful information including things like GDP for several countries, and other facts. He had it all in a map that very quickly allowed us to learn about japan and its history. We went to a shrine, then to the Toyota museum (which surpised us a lot. I thought it was a typical museum but it was INCREDIBLE!). Then we took the bus and visited nagoya castle. Before each place, Yoshii would give us all the information to read and know where we were going. After Nagoya castle, we took a cab to the train station and then back to the ship.

It was instructive and sec - It was an educational experience. Very informative. The disadvantage was that the Guide regularly looked at his movement. I realize he was just out of time. Therefore, my apologies
