Minimal diving instruction and fun experience - My group had a fun time snorkeling and diving! Two of us are certified divers, while three were not. The guides' English is rather minimal, but they were able to communicate the diving basics. There are not nearly as many safety overviews as in a certification course, but they give you enough guidance to get you to the bottom (about 20-30 ft in our first dive). If you're really nervous about safety, I would recommend looking up diving basics before this tour. This dive also didn't seem very conservation-focused as we crawled along the coral. The snorkeling was fun and we saw beautiful biodiversity. Four of the five of us paid ¥5500 to do a second dive, as well as ¥2000 for our group photos. We got fantastic photos with clown fish in an anemone and a sea turtle. The water is super blue and clear. The lunch and shaved ice were delicious and worth the price. We also had free time to jump off the top deck of the boat! The whole experience was a highlight of my Japan trip.

Snorkeling / Scuba Diving in Kerama - Absolutely beautiful waters. There are 3 dive spots 1st one: Just snorkeling 2nd one: Scuba 3rd one: Pay extra to Scuba again, but I highly recommend this because it is the best location! Was an absolutely amazing experience, and our dive guide/instructor was extremely nice and helpful. GoPro rental is also a good idea, they give you a microSD card to bring home with you.
