- Cawdor Castle - Our first stop is Cawdor Castle and its a-maze-ing gardens. Don’t get lost now we need you back on board for the rest of the tour.
- Clava Cairns - Dare you touch the stones? We are not covered by insurance if you head back in time to 1746.
- Culloden Battlefield - Oh Jamie, oh Jamie our scottish bonnie laddie. See were the Jacobites lost the battle in April 1746.
- Loch Ness - We leave for Loch Ness for a bit of Nessie spotting.
- Robertson’s Farm Shop Beauly - How about a visit to the Hielan Coo’s. Here we visit Katie-Morag and Jamie and their friends the Alpaca’s . A visit to the farm shop for all things Coo related is a must.

We are UNABLE to take these items due to space on our minibuses
Join us as we venture South to Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns, Cawdor Castle. (Urquhart if Cawdor shut) Loch Ness and some Highland Cows, perfect for that Outlander Fan.
Avoid the hustle and bustle of a larger coach group and tour round the highlands in my 16 seat minibus.
We try to get the most out of your day out so departure times will vary depending on your ships arrival. We will be standing across the road from port security gates at 8.30 for a sharp departure and return around 3.30pm.
We will have brightly coloured umbrellas so can not be missed.

Don’t miss out on a great day in Invergordon! - We had a wonderful day with Avril. She is so fun to be with and filled our day with information historically and present. I have had a lot of tour operators and she is one of the best! I would highly recommend this tour!

Great overview of Scottish Highlands - So glad I decided the night before to book the tour with Avril's Travels. The day was well organized and hit all the high spots in the right order to keep ahead of the big tour buses. There were 8 of us in a 16-passenger van, so very comfortable. Everyone got a window seat who wanted one. Our local tour guide was funny, charming and knowledgeable. Water and mints were supplied, bathroom breaks were frequent, and the entire tour well-timed. I didn't book a tour offered by our cruise because it didn't allow enough time at Culloden battlefield, but Avril's did. We saw a lot, but we never felt rushed.

Beautiful Highlands tour - The Great Guide, in English, does not speak Spanish. The minibus very clean and new. The exceptional driver.
The beautiful tour, we ended very happy, although for our taste, we would have cut time somewhere, to extend the stay in Inverness a little, which was testimonial and totally panoramic.
Comply with everything contracted.

A perfect day - It was awesome. We had a private tour with Gary as were like the only ones. It was so informative and fun. A perfect day and a perfect guidebook . I can only give Gary 10 stars. Warm and sooooo nice .

Fabulous - The tour was amazing. We were on a Viking cruise and I was nervous about meeting up. No worries they met us as described and our guide was excellent. Loved the tour of the battlefield and castle.

An interesting and fun adventure! - Lorraine, our tour guide, was absolutely wonderful! In addition, to be be extremely knowledgable about our stops, she shared a lot of historical and cultural information about the Highlands. She was funny and sweet! Myself and the 7 other members of our group would definately book another tour with Avril's Travels. The experience was unforgettable!

Highly recommend - Best tour ever! Avril was fantastic! Very knowledgeable! We did everything promised and more! She even took us somewhere not on the agenda we were interested in because we were running ahead of schedule. We saw the battlefield, the castle and gardens, looked for Nessie, interacted with the Highland Cows and more! We learned all about Scottish history and we’re back in plenty of time to board our cruise ship. She picked us up right at the port and dropped us off there as well. Highly recommended!
