We visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps, and the specially protected and fenced refuge of Black Rhino with its stunning forty specimens! In fact Sweetwater’s boasts excellent game viewing with the highest ratio of game to area of any park or reserve in Kenya. Enjoy an evening game drive and a visit to the Chimpanzee conservancy. Nestled between the Aberdare Ranges and Mt Kenya, Ol Pejeta conservancy is bisected by the Equator. The conservancy is a lively hub, where some of Africa’s most renowned species hunt, breed, and fight for their existence daily. Outside the Maasai Mara, this ecosystem boasts of the highest wildlife densities in Kenya. Our itinerary includes morning and evening game drives plus an exciting lion tracking activity.

In the same conservancy lies the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. This place offers shelter to abused and orphaned chimpanzees hailing from West and Central Africa. Over the past ten years, the sanctuary has found itself continually accepting chimpanzees rescued from stressful situations.
