Great day tour if you have limited time! - Excellent tour, you get to see a lot of things in only one day - including a close-up with a lion, as luck would have it! It’s also educational and the work at the Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Centre is amazing - well worth a visit and small donation to support their work. Kelvin is a great guide with extra insights and knowledge of the national park and its animals. He also has a few tricks up his sleeve to make sure you get the most out of your day. I highly recommend him and Rustic Nature Tour! Would definitely choose them again if I have the chance to come back and do a multi-day safari. Asanti! 😊

Fantastic day trip in Nairobi - We booked a day trip with Rustic Nature Tours in Nairobi and we had a great experience. Kelvin was very quick in getting back to us, communicating promptly and clearly. We got a quote containing every important detail and Kelvin answered all our questions. We were picked up in time at our hotel in a clean van in good condition. Kelvin was very professional and friendly. After an early start at Nairobi National Park, where we saw rhinos, lions, giraffes, crocodiles and hippos, we went to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. Kelvin took care of all the bookings and the tickets were included in the tour price, so we had a very easy and relaxing time. After this, we visited a bead factory with beautiful handmade products. At Kelvin’s recommendation we had lunch at a very nice restaurant in a leafy garden before going to the Karen Blixen Museum. All in all, if you would like a relaxing day in Nairobi where the troubles of transport, tickets and scheduling are off your shoulders, we can really recommend Rustic Nature Tours.

Amazing experience - We were collected from our hotel in an air conditioned car and taken to see the orphaned elephants Our driver was very experienced at getting through the traffic and we arrived in good time at the Trust. Kelvin chatted to us about Nairobi & was very knowledgeable about the wildlife centres we could be taken to see. The baby elephants are called in to be fed from huge bottles of specially prepared formula. Our driver Kelvin made sure we had the best view. The babies once fed were hosed with water making the mud turn into a lovely bath for them to play in. They were hosed, splashed each other and we had lefty of opportunity to take great photos.

Awesome day trip to the Giraffe Centre and Elephant Orphanage - My day with Kelvin to the two locations above was hands-down my favorite day in Kenya thus far. The day went off perfectly. Kelvin picked us up promptly at 8:30 from our apartment. We first went to the Giraffe Centre to beat the crowds. We then lined up at the popular Elephant Sanctuary well before the 11AM time to get up close and personal with the elephants. Afterwards, Kelvin took us for some shopping to a store that had an amazing selection of Kenyan items. We capped off the day with a late lunch in Karen. As expected, Kelvin was a fantastic tour guide/driver/host. He had insider, local knowledge to get us from place to place, and happily answered each and every question. If in Nairobi for a few days, and looking for a personalized experience, definitely be sure to reach out to Kelvin!

THRILLING & AWESOME - We were collected from our Hotel by Kelvin in the morning and taken through the Nairobi traffic with ease in a very nice air conditioned car. The traffic was horrendous but Kelvin was very knowledgeable in how to use the back roads and get us to our destination safely and in good time. Kelvin was very keen to keep us informed about Nairobi and its people on the way and pointed out various sights. We arrived at the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and did not have to wait long before we were allowed in. Kelvin took us to a excellent viewpoint so we would be able to take photographs and watch the baby elephants being fed. A great view of them playing in the mud bath with their keepers too. The babies are fed with huge milk bottles and they curl their trunks around the bottles to make sure they get the lot! then the keepers use a hose to amuse them as they play in the mud as its gets wet and sloppy. They roll around and have a dust bath as well. It was a wonderful sight and we so enjoyed it all. One of the keepers tells the audience all about the babies ad how they got there. We were allowed to buy a T Shirt there, and to adopt a baby elephant too. There were many books on sale all about Trust and the people who work there. The elephants have an assigned keeper who stays with them for the 5 or more years that the babies live there. Sleeping with them in their pens at night too. It was very hot there standing in the sunshine for a couple of hours, so take a hat and plenty of water. There are toilets there too. We went on to the Giraffe Centre and that was also an amazing place. We got there in good time before it got busy with the help of Kelvin. We were able to feed the Giraffe with special food given to us and the balcony is high so that the Giraffe's heads are level with you. There was lots of other parts of the centre to see and we enjoyed out time there. Toilets available there too. The whole experience so amazing, we will never forget our time there
