Highlights
  • Nairobi National Park - Nairobi National Park features the Nairobi Animal Orphanage, Safari Walk, and offers game drives. The park serves as a treatment and rehabilitation center for wild animals such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, servals, and more. Bird species like parrots, guinea fowls, crowned cranes, ostriches, and many others can also be observed.
  • Giraffe Centre - The Giraffe Centre was established by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (A.F.E.W. Kenya), a Kenyan non-profit organization. Its primary goal is to educate children and youth about their country’s wildlife and environment, while also providing local and international visitors the chance to get up close with giraffes, the world’s tallest species.
  • Sheldrick Wildlife Trust - This wildlife orphanage rescues endangered species, primarily elephants and rhinos, that are injured or orphaned in the parks to improve their chances of survival. Visitors are welcome for one hour each day. This special, time-honored tradition allows the public to learn more about conservation efforts and meet the orphans in care. Advance booking is required to ensure availability.

Great time with Peter - Loved this experience! I did a private tour with my husband our tour guide was Peter, and he did amazing! He took us to a lion kill first thing in the morning and took care of us the whole day- taking us to the elephants and giraffes. He also always looked after our stuff in the car which was great so we didn’t have to carry everything around. Would definitely do again!

Nairobi National Park Game Drive - Peter was amazing and was able to guide us directly to the animals in Nairobi National Park. His truck was clean and he was engaging. Couldn’t imagine having a better guide.

Miserable Experience - Absolutely awful experience. Driver was over an hour late. Driver had no knowledge of animals, no explanation of anything. Driver spent most of the trip taking his own pictures, not only ignoring us, but blocking our own ability to take our own pictures. They “forgot” to make reservations for the elephant sanctuary. We were over a half hour late anyway because unskilled driver got us stuck in a 90 minute traffic jam in the park. Peter was consistently awful as the person in charge of all of this, very difficult to deal with and not honest. We’ve had so many good experiences on Viator, but this was hands down the worst.

Bad Expeirence! - 1 we were given a different car which was promised. old Land Rover than a safari land Crusier, and a different driver than Peter. Half way through the trip at 8 am - peter came in exchanged the car with us. Now we are in Land Crusier. 2 the driver isn’t informative, I totally understand that sighting of animals is by luck but I wanted the driver to try for places rather than waiting fot peters car all the time 3 it is not about the less animal sighting but it’s about the whole experience 06 am - we were picked up 0630 - we reached Nairobi national park 0700 - started , as there was some car seats payment issue to be solved between Peter and Park 0800 - we stopped at multiple places as the car spare tire was coming out everytime. I complained and we got the Land Cruiser at 0800 in the park 0900 - we stopped to see a fake alarm for lion, we spend 30 minutes there which is okay since we want to confirm if it’s there. After learning from there - the driver kept stopping at multiple places to wait for the peters car since he was driving around the swapped Land Rover with some other tourists. I complained and asked him to end the trip at Elephant center and then I’ll continue bynself.
