• Karen Blixen Museum - Baroness Karen Christenze von Blixen-Finecke (born Dinesen; 17 April 1885 – 7 September 1962) was a Danish author who wrote in both Danish and English. She is also known by her pen names Isak Dinesen in English-speaking countries, Tania Blixen in German-speaking countries, Osceola, and Pierre Andrézel.

Blixen is renowned for her book Out of Africa, which recounts her life in Kenya, and for her story Babette’s Feast, both of which have been adapted into Academy Award-winning films. She is also famous, especially in Denmark, for her Seven Gothic Tales. Her later works include Winter’s Tales (1942), Last Tales (1957), Anecdotes of Destiny (1958), and Ehrengard (1963).

Blixen was considered multiple times for the Nobel Prize in Literature, but it was not awarded to her due to concerns about favoritism towards Scandinavian writers, according to Danish reports.
