Karen Blixen Museum - Drive to the former home of the renowned Karen Blixen, author of “Out of Africa” and a notable colonial figure in East Africa.
The house, built in 1910, features a red tile roof and warm wood paneling in the rooms. When Karen Blixen acquired the property, it included 6,000 acres of land, with 600 acres developed for coffee cultivation.
Much of the original furniture is displayed in the house. The original kitchen has been restored and is now open for viewing. A Dove Stove similar to the one used by Karen Blixen is on display, along with various kitchen utensils. Reconstruction of the coffee factory, along with old farm machinery, is underway.
The aim is to transport visitors back in time, providing a visual impression of settler life in Kenya. The Karen Blixen Museum has become a hub of various activities, including research and visitation from around the world. The income generated is used to refurbish and maintain Karen Blixen’s home and other regional museums. Later, return to the hotel.

The Giraffe Centre in Nairobi is a fantastic destination. It began as a rehabilitation project to save the Rothschild Giraffe. At the time of its founding, only 120 giraffes remained on a ranch in Western Kenya.
At the Giraffe Centre, visitors are provided with pellets to hand-feed the giraffes. You can even take photos while feeding the animals with your mouth, creating the illusion of kissing the giraffe. This is a priceless photo opportunity not to be missed.
