The term Bomas is derived from “Boma,” a Swahili word for an enclosed homestead, and there are now numerous “Bomas,” each representing one of Kenya’s major ethnic groups, such as the Maasai, Luo, Mijikenda, Kalenjin, Kikuyu, Akamba, and more.
Visitors cannot afford to miss the thrilling traditional dances and acrobatic performances from these cultures, complete with authentic costumes, which take place from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm on weekdays and 3:30 pm to 5:15 pm on weekends and public holidays.
