The Mara boasts an incredible variety and abundance of wildlife, with over 450 species recorded. You will likely see rhinos, leopards, elephants, buffalo, wildebeests, zebras, warthogs, jackals, lions, various antelopes, crocodiles, and giraffes. From July to September, the Mara plains are teeming with migrating wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti in Tanzania. The renowned Maasai tribesmen reside within the game reserve’s dispersal area.
