Excellent tour, humbling experience - The kcoop organization is the way to book this tour. Not only are the guides amazing but they give back to the community. They live in the Kabera, they know it, and they are known by the people there. The kids were friendly with them and just followed us around. Bring them something little, they were so happy to get a lolly pop.

Excellent tour, a must do - So glad I booked this tour, Erick and his team were so passionate about the community and making sure any questions we had were answered. They went into detail about the struggles the community face and how they are trying to help with their organisation KCOOP. I really enjoyed my time there and recommend anyone who visits Nairobi takes time out to go. Many thanks Erick and team!

It was a very good tour. - I learned a lot from them because they detailed the current situation and explanation of the slums. It was nice to spend half of the proceeds on the children. In fact, Eric and his friends were handing out food to the children during the tour. It was also reassuring for me as a Japanese to know that Eric was very punctual and reminded me the day before the tour. The explanation was in English, but it was easy to understand because he spoke in simple English. It was a very good tour.

An authentic walking tour providing context to people of Nairobi - Erick and Patrick assisted us with traversing the sprawling maze of Kibera. They were informative and passionate about their OAC mission, uplifting their community and providing solutions to the many challenges that they face. If you are seeking an organic experience in which you get to genuinely connect and feel the heartbeat of Nairobi, then you need to start with Kibera. And you should only do so with the guidance of OAC Kenya Tours!

About the city and the lives of Kenyans - Eric and Sammy showed us around. It was a great experience to hear about the education of slum children, what is sold in the market, prices, and other things from the perspective of the people who live there. The best part was seeing the actual amount of ugali that Kenyans eat! I was shocked when I saw Eric and Sammy eating it. I was also surprised that they didn't realize how much they were eating. It was an unexpected cultural experience.
