- Kenyatta International Conference Center - The tour begins with a pick-up from your Nairobi Hotel or Airport. Experience the Nairobi skyline and enjoy the breeze at the Kenyatta International Convention Center rooftop. The deck also offers a chance to capture stunning photos of the city from a bird’s eye view.
- Giraffe Centre - Next, you’ll be driven to the Giraffe Centre, where you’ll learn about conservation efforts for an endangered species. The center’s primary goal is to protect and assist in the breeding of the endangered Rothschild Giraffe. Under professional supervision, you can feed the giraffes from a raised observation platform, bringing you eye-to-eye with these majestic creatures. The center also features a large auditorium where visitors can attend talks on giraffe conservation and various activities the center is involved in.
- KOBE TOUGH beads & leather - The following stop is the Kobe Bead Factory, a pottery company renowned for creating some of the world’s most beautiful beads. You’ll be guided through all the stages of production, from start to finish. This unique factory employs single mothers from impoverished neighborhoods, providing them with a livelihood to support their families. The pottery, ceramic, and bead factory’s beautiful gifts and souvenirs are exported worldwide. A gift shop on-site stocks some of their products. Please note that the workshop is closed on Saturday afternoons and all day Sunday, but the gift shop is open seven days a week.
- Bomas of Kenya - You’ll be taken out for lunch (at your own expense) at Bomas of Kenya, Tamambo, or a similar restaurant, followed by entry into the auditorium for cultural dances. The tribal cultural shows occur daily from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm, showcasing tribal talent in music, dance, theatre/drama, fashion shows, poetry/recitals, and comedies. If you’re interested in Kenyan culture or simply want an afternoon of African entertainment, this day trip is not to be missed.
