Nairobi to Hell’s Gate National Park to Lake Naivasha National Park

Hell’s Gate National Park - The safari driver guide will meet the group at their Nairobi city hotel and drive northwest to Lake Naivasha. A brief stop will be made at a viewpoint to admire the Great Rift Valley from a higher vantage point. Arrival at Hell’s Gate is expected by mid-morning, where a 2-hour biking tour will commence. Alternatively, some may choose to drive, which is also permitted. Wildlife sightings may include Bushbucks, Dikdiks, Giraffes, Gazelles, Gnus, Hartebeests, Impalas, Klipspringers, Buffaloes, Hyraxes, Zebras, Hyenas, Jackals, Mongooses, Baboons, Monkeys, and Porcupines, among others. The park is also a significant habitat for the rare lammergeyer vultures. At 11 am, a 1-hour visit to the gorges will offer stunning views of the narrow land depressions that can be explored on foot. By 12 pm, the bikes will be returned at the gate, with a visit to the Maasai community along the way. Lunch is scheduled for 1 pm at Naivasha Fisherman’s Camp (at own expense).

Lake Naivasha - At 2 pm, a peaceful boat ride on Lake Naivasha will provide an opportunity to observe local wildlife such as hippos, buffalo, fish eagles, pelicans, and more for an hour.

Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru - After breakfast, the journey continues to Lake Nakuru National Park for a game drive. The park is home to Giraffes, Waterbucks, Black and White Rhinos, Buffalo, Lions, and Leopards, among other wildlife. The lake’s shores are lined with thousands of Flamingos feeding on algae. Lunch will be enjoyed at Buraha Zenoni Resort or a similar lodge. After lunch, the return trip to Nairobi will commence, with an expected arrival around 5 PM.
