Nairobi to Naromoru
Naro Moru - Travel to Naromoru Park Gate for registration, where the hike begins at 2,600m. From the gate, follow the park trail along the ridge between the Northern and Southern Naromoru valleys. The path is easy and offers a pleasant walk through the forest. About two-thirds of the way up, after crossing the bridge, there are excellent views to the left, looking north into the Northern Naromoru valley. The trek concludes at Met Station at 3,000m, where dinner and an overnight stay are provided, B, L, D.
Met Station/Mackinders Camp 5-6 hrs, 10km, 1,200m ascent
Mackinder’s - Ascend the track, passing the radio mast on your right after approximately 30 minutes. The trek transitions into a path, and after another 30 minutes, you will exit the forest belt and enter the moorland. This area, known as the vertical bog, varies from damp to sticky depending on recent rainfall. Continue until the path improves, reaching a fork overlooking Teleki Valley, and proceed to Mackinders Camp at 4,200m. Dinner and overnight stay at Mackinders Camp, B, L, D.

Met Station/Naromoru/Nairobi 3hrs, 9km, 400m
Nairobi - After breakfast, descend through the rainforest for 9km to Naromoru Park Gate at 2,600m, where transportation back to Nairobi will be arranged, B, L.
