Incredible tour, hard to describe - It was an incredible, authentic, eye-opening experience. Our guide Joker (some call him Donga), a kid from the streets who basically didn't attend school has an incredible knowledge not just about the life on the streets but also provides background information that you would not expect. You can feel the authenticism of his story with every of the countless encounters of street kids and homeless people you meet. It is amazing to see how he is engaged with his community and how he gives back to the people that were less fortunate, making their way away from the streets as he did. We have been to slums in Rio, Accra, Jberg, Medellin - what you experience with Nai Nami in Nairobi is a completely different thing. Be prepared to spend some 20 - 30 euros to buy food, maybe sanitary products or medicine for some people that you meet during the tour - there is no ask at all to do so anyhow. If you feel like doing so, Donga has an eye for when, where and what. This is a 5* experience I can only recommend this tour to everyone visiting Nairobi. It is an eye-opening moment that makes you understand how priviliged we are.

Great walking tour! - We had the great fortune to have Typhon as our guide. He shared his life story but still kept it very entertaining. We felt 100% safe the whole time as other guides also joined us. There is no way we would have seen this part of Nairobi ourselves, definitely recommend doing this tour!

Impressive. - An overwhelming experience on our first day in Kenya. Fierce personal stories from our Guide as we walk through the hectic pace of down town Nairobi. Supplemented by a clear explanation of the current situation in Kenya. Instructive, confronting, but especially impressive to hear how these men worked their way out of misery.

Take this amazing tour! - What a brilliant tour. Informative and highly entertaining! My wife and I had the great fortune of going on a tour with Quick and Typhoon who are two lovely guys even for Man United and Arsenal fans! The stories they share are incredible to our ears but they are so open and honest about their experiences and so full of hope that it can be possible to carve out a different path. Clearly a different path is not easy but initiatives such as this are a wonderful start and I urge any visitor to Nairobi to take this tour. I can’t believe you would be disappointed. I also would add that we felt safe and in really good hands at all times.

Great tour with amazing people who have had the fight of their life! - WOW…where do I start. We were fortunate to have Priest as lead and then King, Typhoon, Tsunami and Cheddar join in as our tour progressed. We learned so much from the tragic stories of their lives from the slum to the street. Wanting an education and a father figure is something we take for granted. It was out of reach and they had to fight to survive by whatever means they could. Today, they want more for the children including their own. I have never been more moved by people in my life. Thank you guys for wanting more for the children that have been forgotten. Gary and I appreciate you all with all of our hearts and will forever carry your stories close to our heart. Thank you for this 5 star tour!

Excellent tour - Great tour, it is worth knowing a hidden part for Nairobi tourism, accompanied by someone who really knows the city and has a lot to tell. Just don’t forget to carry a sign that says Trip Advisor, or the name of the tour so you can locate them when you arrive at the pickup point!

Very positive experience. Highly recommended. - This was an excellent opportunity to see downtown Nairobi. We felt 100% safe and enjoyed every minute of the tour. We had an afternoon flight out so it fitted in perfectly. We recommend it. (Don't be dissuaded by the recent political protests. It’s all good here.)
