Great animal encounters! - Lawrence was our guide and he was wonderful. He was very accommodating to our group and needs. He was very informative as we explored the park, and he made an effort to help us have the best wildlife encounters! We saw lions, rhinos, giraffes, and so much more. I recommend anyone to book a tour with Lawrence, you won't be sorry

Surprise visit to Nairobi national park. - We had just finished 3 weeks of safari in Kenya and Tanzania, and we're expecting to fly home. Unfortunately, a connection problem made us have an extra full day in Nairobi. Not wanting to sit in the hotel all day, we started looking on TripAdvisor for a tour or activity. We didn't get excited about the in city tours, but when we saw the half day safari in Nairobi national park, we realized we weren't salaried out yet. Although we had some issues getting the park tickets, which you must do online, we were only slightly delayed in starting our tour. The timing actually turned out perfectly as the first animals we encountered were a family of white rhinos right on and next to the road. Two adolescent brothers were mock fighting with their horns, and we got wonderful photos and videos. We had not been that close in our previous 3 weeks, so it was quite special. We saw a young male lion, beautiful Masai giraffes, hippos, ostrich, many kinds of antelope. The only thing you won't see are elephants, the park is too small. The fascinating thing is the park borders directly to the city. There is an electric fence to keep the animals out, but the other boundaries are open and the animals can roam freely. There is actually a very long bridge/viaduct that takes the railroad above and across the park. It really is strange to take pictures of these wild animals and have the city skyline as the background. We didn't think we'd get the chance to go here, but it turned out to be the icing on the cake of our African adventure.

Well Done! - Edwin was an outstanding guide. He tracked down a pride of lions that most other guides have given up on - and we were rewarded with a group of six and then a second pair. That’s in addition to white and black rhinos, buffalo, crocks, hippos, and many more. Great visit to Nairobi National Park.

Wonderful Experience! - We saw most of the animals and had a fun and interesting experience. We came across two prides of lions and got a close-up view. Our guide, Edwin, made sure we had the best possible experience with the best views.

Beautiful animals, lackluster guide - Booked a last minute morning safari with this company. For a half day tour where you also have to pay a park fee, I found it a bit overpriced. Of course, seeing these animals is a once in a lifetime privilege but for over 150USD, I would expect the guide to be giving us some information on the animals, or really any information at all...! He seemed to either be on his phone or distracted because when we would ask to move, he either didn't hear or didn't listen. And, if not for a South African accompanying us on the ride, I don't know if we would have spotted the animals we did. She spotted rhinos, giraffes, zebras and lions. The guide felt more like a driver (limited interaction and info given) and I was expecting more given the price and the other reviews....

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid!!! - Today we were excited to enjoy our Nairobi National Park Safari. That lasted until we got picked up in the crappiest vehicle ever. We were expecting a beautiful safari cruiser as in their photo but instead it was a beat up white van. Ok, not perfect but we'll still have a good day. WRONG!!! We get in and take off, not one seat belt worked. Not good because our driver was horrible. There are tons of speed humps in Nairobi & he would stomp the gas and slam the brakes in between every one of them. Somehow we made it to the park. We have done 20 plus safari drives on this trip so we know how they work. He was driving so fast you couldn't scan for animals. If you did catch one he would slam on the brakes and have to back up. Others were constantly asking him to stop so they could take photos because he either didn't see or didn't care. He stopped at every vehicle passing to laugh and joke with the drivers. Somehow he heard someone saw a lion. So he sped up to at least 70-80 kph. Speed in the park is 40 & we were on dirt roads. He hit a bump so hard, my wife and I flew in the air. She hit her head on the roof (8" above our heads) jammed her neck, and hurt her back, as she slammed back on the seat. I was able to stop my head from hitting, but then came down on the seat belt receiver on my tailbone & compressed my lower back. He said he was sorry, he wasn't thinking because he was trying to find the lion. So evidently the lion is more important than client safety. Oh yeah, we never saw the lion. As I said in another review (not good) in Kenya through viator. Viator must do a better job vetting vendors. The picture led us to believe this was a very nice vehicle & it was a bait and switch. I hope Viator does the right thing and removes this vendor and gets our money back. We also had to spend $90 on top to get in the park. Warning!!! Stay away from this company!!!
