• Giraffe Centre - The tour begins with a pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport. You will then be driven to the Giraffe Centre, where you will learn about the conservation efforts to protect an endangered species. The center’s primary goal is to safeguard and assist in the breeding of the endangered Rothschild Giraffe. Under the guidance of a professional, you can feed the giraffes from an elevated observation platform, allowing visitors to come face-to-face with these majestic animals. The center also features a large auditorium where visitors can attend talks on giraffe conservation and various activities the center is involved in.

• KOBE TOUGH Beads & Leather - Next, you will be driven to the Kobe Beads Factory, a pottery company renowned for creating some of the world’s most beautiful beads. You will be shown all the stages of bead-making, from start to finish.

• Karen Blixen Museum - The tour then proceeds to the Karen Blixen Museum. The Danish author of “Out of Africa” lived in a coffee plantation farmhouse at the edge of Kenya’s picturesque Ngong Hills, where a small museum now celebrates her life and work. With much of the original furniture preserved, it offers a fascinating glimpse into a colonial-era home and is an interesting stop even if you haven’t read Blixen’s books.

• Bomas of Kenya - You will be taken out for lunch (at your own expense) at Bomas of Kenya, Tamambo, or a similar restaurant. After lunch, you will enter the auditorium for cultural dances. The tribal cultural shows take place daily from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM and showcase tribal talent in music, dance, theatre/drama, fashion shows, poetry recitals, and comedies. If you are interested in Kenyan culture or simply want an afternoon of African entertainment, this is an experience not to be missed!
