Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
Masai Mara National Reserve - Gather at the Nairobi offices at 7:30 am before setting off for the Masai Mara Game Reserve, the northern extension of the Serengeti and one of Kenya’s premier wildlife viewing destinations. The reserve spans 700 square miles of breathtaking wilderness, embodying the quintessential African landscape with its vast acacia-dotted grasslands and misty hills. Arrive in time for lunch at the camp, followed by an evening game drive to witness the sunset and hopefully spot large prides of lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and numerous other plains animals. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Lenchada Camp.
Masai Mara Full Day Game Drive
Masai Mara National Reserve - Dedicate the entire day to exploring the Maasai Mara in search of the Big Five. Enjoy a picnic lunch within the Reserve while admiring the beauty of the Mara, particularly along the banks of the Mara River. Optional: In the evening, visit a local Maasai village for a cultural tour at USD 20 per person. Discover the Maasai community and engage with the local Maasai people. The Mara is renowned for hosting one of nature’s most spectacular events: the great migration. This annual migration sees millions of wildebeest and zebras journeying from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in pursuit of water and pasture, closely followed by the savanna’s predators – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures.
Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park
Lake Nakuru National Park - After a morning breakfast, check out from the camp and head to Lake Nakuru, with lunch along the way. Arrive in the afternoon, check in, and embark on an afternoon game drive. While Lake Nakuru is primarily a bird sanctuary, it is also home to a variety of large game animals, including zebras, elephants, and gazelles, offering a prime opportunity to spot rhinos. Lake Nakuru National Park was the first designated rhino reserve in Kenya and is one of the few places to see Rothschild’s giraffes.
Lake Nakuru to Nairobi
Lake Nakuru National Park - Enjoy an early breakfast and depart by 7 am directly to the park. This small park is home to magnificent, rare white rhinos, part of the Big Five. There is also a chance to see the pink flamingos. The game drive lasts 3 hours, after which you will embark on a 3-hour drive back to Nairobi, with lunch along the way.
