Navaisha and Hells Gate with Isaac - The whole experience was very special. The biking in hells gate takes you on a road in between beautiful cliffs and verdant plains, where Zebras and Giraffes can be seen grazing. We were then taken to lake Naivasha on a boat ride amongst birds and a family of hippos. Our guide Isaac was very sweet and explained us many things on the region. He is also very open to answer to any questions related to Kenya, we had a very good time with him !!

Lovely day trip to Hell's gate park, cycling among wildlife - Very nice day trip from Nairobi to Hell's gate park, we also added the optional boat trip and lunch at lake Naivasha, which is paid separately on the spot and was very enjoyable and in a beautiful location. On the way to the park, we stopped at an observation point overlooking the Great Rift Valley. At Hell's gate we had a bicycle tour of the park with a park guide and then a short walk in the gorges. There is a market after the walk in case you're interested in buying souvenirs. In the park we saw giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, antelopes and gazelles. After the park, we headed to lake Naivasha and during the boat tour we saw hippos and many species of birds, and more animals on the island at the centre of the lake. The driver and tour organiser provided a good service, it was a very enjoyable day trip from Nairobi. Remember to bring a hat and sunscreen!

Unique safari experience at Hell's Gate - Booking was easy and confirmation was received through Whatsapp. My wife and I had only just arrived into Nairobi late the previous night, and we were both tired the next day and not very chipper. We decided to just do Hell's Gate and not do any of the optional add-ons, so I can't speak to any of those. Nevertheless, despite our condition, we had a good time. I booked this particular tour because we didn't have to worry about negotiating the bike rental as it was already taken care of. We were also given a separate guide for the cycling part who helped point out some of the animals farther off in the distance and led us into the gorge at the end. Though Tripadvisor gives a general description of the day's order of events, we did still have some questions about how long the bike and hike would take. Of course, these things are subjective depending on how fast/fit you are. We also stopped to take a fair amount of pictures while on the bike, so I would advise people to expect to be out longer than estimated--a possible concern if it's a hot sunny day. My wife was feeling a bit fatigued after the hike, and she ended up biking back just fine, but there was an option to be brought back in a van if need be. The description on Tripadvisor also says that food and drink are not included, but I interpreted this as just not including the optional lunch. Bring your own water as it is not provided, and have fun!

A ‘Must-Do’ Tour when in Nairobi - We had a fabulous time on this day tour to Hell’s Gate NP and Lake Naivasha with Perfect Safaris. Our driver for the day was Ng’ang’a Isaac and he was as entertaining as he was courteous and professional. He was full of information on Kenya, Nairobi and the everyday lives of the locals which kept us entertained on the 2 hour-ish drive to Hell (ok, couldn’t resist that one). We stopped half way to witness the grandeur of the Great Rift valley. Here you have the chance to buy some souvenirs. Yes, they were overpriced but I absolutely loved the opportunity to delve into a little ‘Kenyan’ bargaining and it was one of the highlights of the day. Upon arrival at Hell’s Gate, we chose our bikes and went on our way with a guide who works for the NP. Riding a bike through a park with zebra, giraffe, buffalo and Pumbas (yes, like the Pumba from Lion King) is an absolutely surreal experience. The ride is about 8km each way. There was also an optional hike into the gorge, which we did. This is the only part that we found underwhelming. It may have been because of the heat, but I really would much rather have had more time cycling through the park. After the park, we made our way to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride and lunch. The boat ride was phenomenal and absolutely the highlight of the tour. This is an additional cost but one that is worth every penny and should NOT be missed. We saw hippos (even a baby that was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen), impalas, waterbucks, zebras and an African Fish Eagle who entertained us with swooping down from the tip of an Acacia tree the catch a fish. It was astounding to see this in real life. After a delicious lunch we made our way back to Nairobi. Be warned that the way back takes longer and that there was no air conditioning, so it was quite dusty and the smell of diesel was strong. Don’t be deterred, the day is worth it, but I do wish we had been more prepared with a face covering and more water. This tour was one of the highlights of our time in Nairobi and one I would highly recommend. Thank you Clara at Perfect Safaris for helping us organize this and for your prompt communication. And of course, thank you again to Ng’ang’a for making our day so memorable and for battling Kenyan traffic like a pro! It was a pleasure spending the day with you!

A unique day trip experience - Isaac provided us with a really wonderful day. The landscapes in Hell's Gate are amazing, biking was fun (and not too arduous), and on the boat trip we saw hippos, fish eagles and various antelope. Can strongly recommend. Bring cash for the boat trip.

Great, helpful driver, Ng’ang’a Isaac! Bike tour was average, boat ride on the lake was really good! - Overall the tour was good! Our driver Ng’ang’a Isaac was great, very friendly and had everything organised! The bike tour was average! We were hoping to get a good view point but our guide said the gorge was closed so we turned around half way, that was a little bit disappointing. Everyone seemed to go to the gorge and get transport back but that wasn’t an option for us. We saw lots of animals quite close which was great! The lunch was yummy and the boat ride on lake was really good, we got to see hippos!
