Additional Information

The Hells Gate National Park in Kenya is proud to shelter the exceptionally rare lammergeyer vultures. It also hosts a vast range of wildlife such as lions, leopards, cheetah, buffalos, and a handful of antelopes. The park encompasses the Hells Gate canyon, characterized by two red cliffs housing two volcanic plugs known as the Central Tower and Fischer’s Tower. The Central Tower, a smaller gorge extending southwards towards Naivasha, features a trail guiding towards hot springs where the stones can become dangerously hot. This hot spring oasis is offset by the cooled landscapes of two dormant volcanoes, Hobley’s and Olkaria, and the intriguing obsidian formations resulting from cooled molten lava, sparking thoughts of their once vibrant activity.
