Dreamy Fuji area trip - We really had a lot of luck as the weather was perfect and the views of the Fuji-san were spectacular.
Shawn was very pleasant, showed us the best spots for seeing the foliage, cooked us a very tasty lunch while watching the mountain in all it’s glory and for the finale- brought us to wonderful waterfalls with yet another wonderful view of the mountain. Shawn was very fluent in English and was flexible and attentive.

Absolutely incredible!!! Must do - Wow, such an amazing trip and so worth it!! If we had been on an ordinary bus tour, we would NOT have seen Mount Fuji. As simple as that. 110% recommended.
Directions to the starting point were easy to follow, Shawn was very friendly and chill, so easy to get along with 🤙
Stopped by a market for fresh fruit, and headed to the first lake for a walk around with the beautiful autumn colours. Next stop was lunch by the water, and wow!! Shawn is an incredible chef and has the menu perfected 🤌 every element was delicious.
Stubborn cloud was still hiding Mount Fuji so the waterfalls were next and spectacular in themselves.
Still cloudy, but Shawn never gave up, so we kept driving around to different viewing points, and as he predicted, around 5pm the clouds parted and we were treated with glorious views of Fuji at last. An unforgettable moment and worth the wait.
Massive thanks to Shawn again, this tour was the highlight of the trip for sure!!!

A wonderful trip! - It is known that Fuji-san frequently hides in the clouds. We started our trip in Tokyo under a moderately heavy rain. We were afraid that we would not get to see Mt. Fuji, but Shawn used his experience to change the itinerary on the fly to ensure we had the best chance to see the mountain. The trip was an absolute success. We got to see Fuji-san in all of her unrivalled beauty. As an icing on the cake, Shawn cooked a delicious lunch for us by Lake Motosuko with a gorgeous, unobstructed view of the mountain, and we were able to avoid the busy touristy crowds. Thank you Shawn for a wonderful day!!

Chasing Mt Fuji - Our tour guide Shawn made the whole experience a once in a lifetime treasure. The Japanese heritage was on full display the entire journey as we made our way to Mt Fuji, enjoyed an unbelievable lakeside Japanese-style BBQ lunch at the base of the mountain experiencing farmer's markets and hidden ancient waterfalls. Engaging and delightfully energetic throughout the all-day tour, Shawn navigated the winding roads to enhance the mountain views with timeless historic facts and unique local perspective.

Hands down, best experience and guide - Shawn is such a great guide. What I found out about Shawn is that this IS his passion. He found a job that he LOVES and he wants you to have the best experience too. When somebody loves their work that much, it comes through to his guests. We were hopeful, as must people are, to view Mt Fuji. We were so lucky to have gotten a view, and also was able to see the first snowfall of the year!
Shawn knows all the great spots and hidden areas. He also loves taking your photo and like I said, he picks all the great spots. You’ll always get a good photo.
Don’t let the cost of the experience deter you. It is money well spent. In fact, if I could, I would book this same tour in the spring to get different photos.
Shawn also provided a wonderful meal for us. It was so good and all prepared by him. If you’re reading this review, book now. You definitely will not regret it!

A day to remember - We played a game of hide-and-seek with and Mt. Fuji won. A shy mountain hiding behind a thick blanket of clouds. That didn’t stop us from having a beautiful day exploring a cave and chasing waterfalls. The highlight was the delicious bbq at the lake prepared by Shawn (with the best tofu I’ve ever eaten ~ thanks for providing a vegetarian option). Shawn is a genuine person and excellent guide. Highly recommend!!

A lovely Day - Shawn was wonderful. Our family of 6 enjoyed a full day traveling to Mt. Fuji. Shawn made lunch at the lake shore and also took us to the beautiful waterfall. The garden on the way back to Tokyo was a lovely stop. We would highly recommended this private day trip.

Easily One of the Best Experiences OF MY LIFE! - As the title says - this was literally one of the best experiences of my lifetime. To set the scene, I came to the Fuji area as a solo traveler in my mid 30s and wanted to experience something different than the normal tourist things. Along with that eye am a person who wanted to see the full beauty of the area and this tour appealed to me immediately.
Shawn is an incredible tour guide and very mindful. For my English-speaking reviewers here, Shawn communicates in both English and Japanese fluently to add an additional sense of comfort. For someone traveling solo (like I did on my trip), this trip gives a true sense of adventure while also feeling safe. he is also a skilled photographer so whether you are traveling by yourself or with family/friends/loved ones, understand that you can get all of your Instagram worthy photos taken by him with no worries. He took me to different places you wouldn’t even think of an even found the best ice cream I’ve had in my life. Shout out to the cow resort! 😂 and of course, the lunch that Shawn prepares for you is probably one of the most fulfilling meals you will have while in Japan. Trust me when I say will be extra and you will be mad that there is extra because it is so good!
I would recommend this tour to every single person on this planet to try it out and get truly ‘off the beaten path’ in Mt. Fuji area. note that if you are staying in the Fuji area, the tour will begin around 10:30 AM but if you were staying in the Tokyo area, it will be begin at 9 AM due to transportation from the city down to Fuji so keep that in mind when planning. Also plan for weather. I was very lucky that it was a beautiful day but it was a bit hot so make sure to pack water / an empty water bottle to stay hydrated throughout.
All in all - this is worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY! don’t overthink it, purchase the tour and thank me later.

Unforgettable Fun at Mt. Fuji - Shawn provided a truly memorable experience for my wife and I. He went out of his way at every chance to provide the highest quality experience despite the inclement weather that limited views of the mountain, and he also expertly navigated highway closures on the return route to Tokyo! We could not be happier with how he took a challenging weather event and turned it into a fun trip that we won’t soon forget- thanks again, Shawn!

Best tour guide and tour ever! - The Mt. Fuji tour with Shawn (aka Shogo) was an extremely memorable and enjoyable day in Japan for our entire family. Although it rained all day and we did not see Mt. Fuji, Shawn made efforts to take us to other locations, including the Shiraito Water Falls and Idebok Dairy. The fact that we didn’t see Mt. Fuji was a non-issue because we had such an adventurous day. The barbecue was incredibly delicious, as Shawn prepared everything the day prior to our tour. We enjoyed the conversations we had with Shawn, as he is extremely personable and kind. Best tour guide and tour ever! We are already recommending this tour to our family and friends.
