A lovely Day - Shawn was wonderful. Our family of 6 enjoyed a full day traveling to Mt. Fuji. Shawn made lunch at the lake shore and also took us to the beautiful waterfall. The garden on the way back to Tokyo was a lovely stop. We would highly recommended this private day trip.

Easily One of the Best Experiences OF MY LIFE! - As the title says - this was literally one of the best experiences of my lifetime. To set the scene, I came to the Fuji area as a solo traveler in my mid 30s and wanted to experience something different than the normal tourist things. Along with that eye am a person who wanted to see the full beauty of the area and this tour appealed to me immediately.
Shawn is an incredible tour guide and very mindful. For my English-speaking reviewers here, Shawn communicates in both English and Japanese fluently to add an additional sense of comfort. For someone traveling solo (like I did on my trip), this trip gives a true sense of adventure while also feeling safe. he is also a skilled photographer so whether you are traveling by yourself or with family/friends/loved ones, understand that you can get all of your Instagram worthy photos taken by him with no worries. He took me to different places you wouldn’t even think of an even found the best ice cream I’ve had in my life. Shout out to the cow resort! 😂 and of course, the lunch that Shawn prepares for you is probably one of the most fulfilling meals you will have while in Japan. Trust me when I say will be extra and you will be mad that there is extra because it is so good!
I would recommend this tour to every single person on this planet to try it out and get truly ‘off the beaten path’ in Mt. Fuji area. note that if you are staying in the Fuji area, the tour will begin around 10:30 AM but if you were staying in the Tokyo area, it will be begin at 9 AM due to transportation from the city down to Fuji so keep that in mind when planning. Also plan for weather. I was very lucky that it was a beautiful day but it was a bit hot so make sure to pack water / an empty water bottle to stay hydrated throughout.
All in all - this is worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY! don’t overthink it, purchase the tour and thank me later.

Unforgettable Fun at Mt. Fuji - Shawn provided a truly memorable experience for my wife and I. He went out of his way at every chance to provide the highest quality experience despite the inclement weather that limited views of the mountain, and he also expertly navigated highway closures on the return route to Tokyo! We could not be happier with how he took a challenging weather event and turned it into a fun trip that we won’t soon forget- thanks again, Shawn!

Best tour guide and tour ever! - The Mt. Fuji tour with Shawn (aka Shogo) was an extremely memorable and enjoyable day in Japan for our entire family. Although it rained all day and we did not see Mt. Fuji, Shawn made efforts to take us to other locations, including the Shiraito Water Falls and Idebok Dairy. The fact that we didn’t see Mt. Fuji was a non-issue because we had such an adventurous day. The barbecue was incredibly delicious, as Shawn prepared everything the day prior to our tour. We enjoyed the conversations we had with Shawn, as he is extremely personable and kind. Best tour guide and tour ever! We are already recommending this tour to our family and friends.

Such a unique experience! - Thank you so much for the amazing unique tour! My favorite part was the delicious barbecue lunch lakeside. As my husband said, it was the best meal we had since arriving. Fun to take part in the process too! The waterfalls were beautiful and seeing the fog layer at the cave in the forest was the perfect end to our trip. Thank you too for chasing the view of Mt Fuji! We didn't think we would get to see her, but we did! We so greatly appreciate your patience with all our crazy questions and appreciate all your time. Thank you, Shawn, for a great day!

Seeing Mt Fuji - A life's dream - Seeing Mt Fuji was a life time dream. Shogo (aka Shawn) made that possible. Was concerned that Mt Fuji would hide itself from us in late July, but thanks to Shogo, we had incredible 360 views of Mt Fuji.
Shogo took us to off the beaten tracks places that other non-Japanese guides don't take you (why would anyone come to Japan and not hire a non-Japanese guide?).
And the barbecue .. It's not your run of the mill BBQ .. Shogo uses his Mama's secret recipe for the marinade.

Best Tour and Tour Guide in Japan! - We couldn't recommend Shawn and his Mt. Fuji tour more! He showed us around the best views and parts of the five-lake area. Shawn was extremely accommodating and knew all of the best places to go! He also timed out our very cloudy day so we could still have amazing views of Mt. Fuji. The food was so tasty, and we enjoyed getting to know Shawn and learning more about the area! Truly, this was the best tour we did in Japan!

Great birthday experience!!! - Shawn was an AMAZING tour guide, he was very knowledgeable about the history and terrain. His English was good, so that was a plus for conversations. It was pouring down raining so we didn't do the BBQ, but he recommended a delicious steakhouse that was reasonably price. Highly recommend!
