JOURNEY TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK VIA ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY

Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch - Begin the day with an early breakfast, followed by a briefing from the guide about the three-day safari. Depart from the hotel and start the journey to Murchison Falls National Park, passing through Luwero town. Make a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will meet the site guide for a briefing before venturing into the bush to track rhinos. This activity will last about three hours. Return for lunch before continuing the journey to Masindi town.

Murchison Falls - Continue to the park and visit the top of the falls, offering breathtaking views of parts of the park and Murchison Falls. Capture photos and proceed to the lodge for check-in, relaxation, and an overnight stay.

GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE

Murchison Falls National Park - Rise early for breakfast and set off by 6:00 am for a game drive. This drive offers the chance to see early risers and big cats before they retreat. Other wildlife includes Lake Chad buffaloes, African elephants, Lelwel’s hartebeest, Nubian giraffes, and oribis, among others. Bird species such as the Goliath heron, African skimmer, and Red-throated bee eater are also common. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. After lunch, embark on a launch cruise on the Nile to the base of the falls. This water safari provides views of hippos, Nile crocodiles basking by the river, and various bird species and wildlife drinking at the shores. Depending on your energy levels, choose to return to the lodge for relaxation or continue with a short game drive.

RETURN TO KAMPALA

Murchison Falls National Park - Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out from the lodge. Depending on your flight schedule, you may opt for a final game drive before leaving the park. The journey to Kampala will take approximately six hours, with a lunch stop in Masindi Town before continuing to Kampala or Entebbe.

This journey will take you to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. The park is home to over 451 bird species and 76 mammal species, and is divided by the Victoria Nile into the Northern and Southern banks. The Nile forces its way through an 8-meter narrow gorge and cascades over 45 meters, creating the magnificent Murchison Falls. The highlight of your visit will include sightings of various bird species, such as the Greater Blue Turaco and the rare Shoebill Stork, among others. Game drives are incredibly rewarding, and hiking and boat cruises are not to be missed in this stunning savannah park.
