Fantastic Day Trip - This day trip was the highlight of our trip to Kenya so far. Meshack our driver arrived exactly on time. He was friendly, knowledgeable and good fun - we had some good laughs! He is also an extremely safe driver and out journey was very comfortable. We arrived to Hells Gate National Park where we met Charles our guide for the park. He too was very knowledgable and friendly. We enjoyed a cycle safari and a hike down into one of the gorges in the park. After this we moved to a resort on the banks of lake Naivasha where we did a 1 hour boat safari which was excellent, followed by a lovely meal in the resort. Meshack then returned us to our hotel in Nairobi - using his local knowledge to avoid the heavy traffic on the way into Nairobi. This was an excellent trip made better by the people who facilitated it. Thank you Meshack and Charles!

Marvelous - I loved the experience, starting from the biking experience at the entrance down to the gorge and also our tour guide in the park Gadaffi was awesome at his job. Kelvin who picked me up from my apartment and took me and some other tourist to see the Hell's gate and the Lake was a very nice fellow. He was very vocal and friendly. It was a 10/10 experience for me.

MUST DO! - My friend and I went today and we absolutely loved it! Everything was perfect! Francis was amazing and very accommodating! He made us feel very welcome and was sharing stories along the way. We really did enjoy our time with him, he was pointing out places as we were driving through the city. For the tour itself, we went with Ibrahim, he was also very nice and very knowledgeable. He was very patient with us and although the gorge was closed, we didnt feel like we missed out. Over all, AMAZING and must do experience for real.

Simply Amazing.... A must do adventure. - I don’t know where to begin! The tour and our guides were simply amazing! I didn’t even feel like a visitor. I was able to ask all sorts of questions. When we stopped to eat lunch our guide sat and ate with us which I loved ! I’m a teacher and I talked about wanting to visit a school but because of the time school was closed. Calvin took a moment to show me a school from the outside and showed me where students played. We talked about how far the children had to walk to school each day. How informative and personable Calvin was very much appreciated! I would recommend him to anyone who desires a more intimate experience. We had a amazing time!

Fantastic excursion - Francis our driver was incredibly patient. Engaging and very respectful. I was impressed by his punctuality and my goodness.. the music he was playing . oh my..throwback to the 90’s r&b era.. lulled us all to sleep..Amazing patient tour guide when we arrived at Hells gate in lake Naivasha. The bike ride was a little bumpy but worth the ride. The scenic drive/ ride on the bike was magnificent.. I highly recommend this excursion!

If you have one day, do this - You'll get some exercise and see some great sights - I booked this on a whim the night before, and Francis was at my hotel the next morning at 7 am with a smile and warm welcome. Expecting others to be along, it was just me so I got a personalized trip. The ride to Navaisha was a bit slow with lots of truck traffic, but Francis was adept at making the best of it. I had travelled on this road before, so knew it would have moments. I enjoyed the conversation with Francis and we got to Hell's gate @ 9:30 for the bike ride. On the way we stopped at the fish camp to order lunch so it would be ready for our arrival later. Decent menu, the food was good, not pricey. Kevin was my guide at Hells Gate and we hopped on bikes for the 3 mile trip to the Canyon. He was terrific throughout. The walk through the canyon was at times challenging, as there are steep drops and climbs on rocks that require nimble footing. There were some escape paths for those who wanted to take it easier. I would not recommend the longer version of this hike if you have bad knees or are heavy or not nimble...Wear shoes that are either for hiking or tennis shoes...and be prepared for them to get wet. Some of the climbs on the way out were quite challenging, and while Kevin hopped up easily and always had a hand to extend when needed, I had to go slowly and make sure of each step. I made it eventually. Again, be warned the extended back half of the hike has technical elements that require some strength and good balance. I enjoyed the physical challenge but its not for everyone. Note, I am over 60 and reasonably fit. From the canyon, another 3 miles back to the entrance mostly flat, where Francis was waiting to take you to lunch. Good meal at the fish camp, then onto the boat ride. At the registration center for the boat ride, I had to pay 10 bucks extra ($30 vs $20) but it was still worth it as I got a solo tour. Stephen was my guide and showed me around Lake Naivasha, pointing out various hippo groups and many other wildlife stops. He steers the boat pretty close to the shore so you can get good pictures. Interesting wildlife of all kinds, many different birds and land animals. Got some great pics. After the boat ride, it was back to my hotel....again traffic was a bear due to a rainstorm, but we made it back my 5:30. I was pooped from the sun and exercise, but a good tired. A good way to spend a day outside of Nairobi. Note: Bring sunscreen and a hat, hiking shoes or sneakers, shorts recommended as it got hot during the ride and midday.

Very nice day trip - Eventhough I was the only one who had booked this trip for that day, the trip did not get cancelled. Franchis, very friendly guide, picked me up and was happy to answer all my questions throughout the day. Hells Gate and Lake Naivasha are both beautiful places and the service was very good. Definitely recommend this trip!

Not a Safari - We were sold this trip (via the Travel Agent) as a Rift Valley Safari trip, but were disappointed to find that it was not really a safari at all. Bike and hike - the hike was into Devil's Gorge - very tricky negotiation of steep gorge sides and slippery rocks at the bottom. The bike ride was not so easy riding over bumpy, rock-strewn sandy roads for 18k. The Safari bit comes later - a Boat Safari which is an added extra so not really part of the trip at all. Although we were disappointed that it was not what we expected (I had done a safari in that area some years ago and thought I knew what was coming) I have to say the trip was very good and we did enjoy it.
