Windhoek- Sossusvlei

Sossusvlei - We will pick you up from your hotel or guest house at 9 am, depart straight on the way south to world-famous Sossusvlei via picturesque Spreetshoogte Pass. We will then have a Stop-over at the viewpoint to appreciate the endless view of the Namib. Our lunch at the Solitaire oasis. We will arrive at the lodge or campsite at around 3-4 pm. This time is extremely hot; we recommend that you spend the day cooling off by the pool. Early rest is required as tomorrow you are expected to wake early in the morning.

Dune 45, Sossusvlei - Desert Experience

Sossusvlei - Early in the morning, at sunrise, we will visit the Sesriem Gate to the remarkable Sossusvlei. We start off with climbing picturesque Dune 45, experiencing the beauty and vastness of the Orange-colored landscape. Off-road drive to the Dead Vlei, a place of Vast desert pan where dried-up, ancient acacias stand silent in the impressive, open-air gallery. If you have enough energy, you can climb one of the highest dunes on Earth, the ‚Big Daddy ‘or ‚Big Mama. After the morning excursion, we will return back to Sesriem for lunch. We will take a break for 1-2 hours. Once the heat subsides, we will take a short excursion to Sesriem Canyon. These will be our last activities for the day.

Sossusvlei to Swakopmund

Sossusvlei-Walvis Bay - Swakopmund

Skeleton Coast – Swakopmund

Cape Cross - Today we take a short walk to the Cape Cross Reserve. The reserve is home to one of the world’s largest breeding colonies of Cape Fur seals and during the breeding season (November-December) up to 200 000 plus seals can be spotted basking on the beach– a unique sight and smell to behold. After our visit to the seal colony, we continue traveling along the Skeleton Coast. Along the way, we stop to view the Zeila Shipwreck, one of the latest victims of the infamous Skeleton Coast from as recent as 2007.

Early this afternoon we reach Swakopmund, Namibia’s top seaside destination. The rest of the day is free for you to do some sightseeing and explore the quaint town on foot. Dinner tonight is at your own expense in one of Swakopmund’s excellent restaurants and our guide will be happy to make recommendations or bookings depending on what we feel like.

Swakopmund- Windhoek – End of Safari

Windhoek - Our last morning on Namibia Safari is an early start to hop on the shuttle back to Windhoek. You will arrive in Windhoek between 13h00 and 14h00. You will be dropped off at your accommodation of choice within Windhoek city limits or at the Airport for your onward journey.
