Highlights
  • Nantucket - Established in 1881, this line ceased operations in 1917. It transported visitors to Surfside and Siasconset.
  • Nantucket Founders Burial Ground - Founded by Quakers, Nantucket features a Quaker burial ground with mostly unmarked graves, reflecting the island’s Quaker heritage.
  • Old Mill - Allegedly constructed in 1746, the Old Mill is considered the oldest functioning windmill in the United States and is the last of five mills that once overlooked Nantucket Town.
  • Siasconset - Visit the eastern end of the island to admire the rose-covered cottages and historic community.
  • Sankaty Head Lighthouse - Located at the easternmost point of Nantucket Island in Siasconset, this lighthouse was built in 1850, automated in 1965, and remains operational. It was among the first in the U.S. to be equipped with a Fresnel lens.

Ronald's Tour is Fantastic - Our driver, Ronald, was terrific!! He lifted our handicapped friend on and off the bus so she could join us. He was a wealth of local knowledge! I learned so much about the island and it's history. He was so funny and entertaining I could have ridden around with him all day.

Delightful day in Nantucket - Ronald gave a great tour of Nantucket and its history. He was extremely courteous and polite with a delightful sense of humor. He knew about historical connections with the island. He gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant for lunch. He was gracious enough to drive back to the starting point after the tour to return a pair of glasses that we inadvertently left on the bus. I would recommend taking a tour with Ronald.

Good Overview of Nantucket Island - Ron met us in "downtown" Nantucket and provided a narrative of what we can expect on the tour and the history of Nantucket. On the tour itself, he provided a running narrative with the background of many of the sites we were seeing.

An Afternoon in Nantucket - The scenery, seeing the homes of the rich & famous and the stories about them. The photo stops were welcomed. Driver assistance on and off the bus was appreciated.

Unfortunately not a fan of the huge bus. If the your would have been on a smaller vehicle we would have been able to see - The history of Nantucket was super interesting. Our guide did a good job of telling us what, how and when as well as pointing out historical sites

Relax, laugh, and learn! - Great way to see an island where traffic is impossible and parking non-existent! Sit back and relax! The guide Ron is quite entertaining!
