Super interesting and informative Art Deco tour - Very interesting and informative tour. I didn't realize there was so much to Art Deco in terms of the inspiration, features, styles, and characteristics. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, and the tour moved along at a speed/pace that anyone could handle, regardless of age or fitness level. The length of the tour (2.5 hours) was perfect for an afternoon activity. I would recommend this tour.

Well worth the stroll - Loved it! Our guide really brought his city to life with such Pride. And boy what a town! This gentle stroll hit all the highlights and brought the story of napier to life.

Excellent afternoon. - Excellent overview of Napier’s history, architecture and key figures in its reconstruction. Stephen was a very personable and informative guide. We felt we had a greater insight into the town than if we had attempted it on our own. Well worth it and we appreciated his helpfulness at the end.

Fascinating history of Napier - We enjoyed a very informative walking tour of Napier’s art deco architecture with our excellent guide Stephen. We hadn’t realised there were so many different styles of art deco! It was a wonderful way to see the beautiful buildings as well as getting the history of Napier and devastating earthquake. Highly recommend it

Outstanding Guided Tour - We discovered the fascinating story of Napier’s heritage with the Art Deco trust's walking tour. Our enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide gave us an insight into the history of Napier and the characteristics of the Art Deco style of architecture. We would have missed many features without this experience. Highly recommended.

Very Informative and enjoyable walk - Rnoeally enjoyed the little movie before the walk and the walk. Very enjoyable and informative, knowledgeable guide. The walk didnt go to far so easy as. Worth the $28, especially if you like architecture.

Excellent Art Deco gems - Excellent walk around the Art Deco gems of Napier. Guide , Michelle, was very enthusiastic and full of information. Saw inside the theatre ( a real treat). Definitely recommend!

Great experience - The knowledge of the guide was amazing and very interesting . As a Christchurch person the changes to the landscape intrigued me .

Worthwhile - Whilst some of the information in this tour could be gained without booking the walking tour, my knowledge of art deco was certainly enhanced and we were taken inside some buildings that I would not otherwise have entered. Likewise, I would have walked past many of the design features without appreciating their link to the 1930's. I was fascinating having a guide who had grown up in the region in the 1950's.

Art Deco Walking Tour - waste of money - The short film was very informative and our guide was pleasant but the tour lacked depth and seemed centred around looking at the information boards that are readily available for everyone to look at for free! Perhaps better to go in the morning when you can enter the foyers of some of the buildings if you’re very keen, as although many buildings were pointed out I did not see or find out anything of interest other than what I was able to observe walking along Emerson and Tennyson without a guide! I certainly won’t be recommending this tour!
