Explore two distinctive wineries, a Maori cultural site, and breathtaking views from Te Mata Peak. Starting at the coast, visitors will gain insight into Maori knowledge (Matauranga Maori) at the Atea a Rangi Celestial Compass. Following this, enjoy a wine tasting and cheese platter at Clearview Winery, with a brief tour if available. The journey continues through the stunning Tukituki Valley, ascending to the summit of Te Mata Peak, while learning about the region’s unique culture, geology, botany, and history. The experience concludes with another tasting at the family-owned boutique Askerne Winery before returning to Napier City. Throughout the tour, local experts will guide participants in a fully electric vehicle with zero emissions.
