- 112 McVicar Road - This trip starts from either your ship or in Napier city, then bus one hour into the heart of the north island. Thie activity is a scenic raft trip down grade 2 rapids whilie listening to bird song. Also included is a narrative on the local history of the area going right back 80 million years, through to pre european times with local maori and into the near past and present. This activity is also great for families with children being able to swim down river and drinking the fresh water all in a safe environment. Grade 2 rapids are fun but small so if you dont wish to get to wet dont jump in. Photos of your trip are available either mailed to you or on our facebook page free of charge. A homemade lunch is provided afterwards before heading back to your ship or to Napier to checkout Art deco buildings. Timewise we like everyone back on board your ship 2 hours before ship departure.
All safety and rafting equipment is supplied, just bring Bathers if you wish, a towel and sunscreen.

Scenic Rafting at its Best - A wonderful experience for all ages - Deon and the team looked after us so well and we had a ball. The Mohaka River scenery was beautiful and well worth the outdoor raft experience - a real adventure.

Great experience! - It was a great trip. Dallas was our guide and he was a lot of fun. Deon and all I’d the staff were really nice and made sure we had a great time. They made a nice lunch with fresh fruit, great sandwiches with garden fresh tomatoes.

Awesome river experience - From the moment Deon picked us up from the wharf he made us feel so welcome and comfortable we drove to his house to get suited up with rain gear and life jackets their were people there to help us find our right sizes they were so helpful. Once on the river our Guide Vince showed us how to Oar he was so polite and helpful. We had no troubles at all my husband and I felt very safe even though we got stuck on a few rocks in the river Vince guided us on how to get off the rocks. What an Awesome experience would highly recommend this river float experience to anyone of any age and once we got off the river Deon's lovely wife had a beautiful home made picnic lunch waiting for us. Her Quiche and sausage rolls were absolutely yummy. Thank you so much. We enjoyed every minute.

This was my first time... - This was my first time river rafting. It was an incredible experience.

Rafting in napier!! - We had the most wonderful time with Leon. Everything about the trip was so much fun and what a fun little lunch we had down by the river. Just exactly what should be expected. Very very casual homemade by Leons wife. Leon was very safety conscious, and made sure that we were all safe to go on the raft and down the river.

Very well equipped, extremely knowledgeable local guide, great fun and laughs on the River. So far this was the highlight of our entire trip to New Zealand.

Rafting the Easy Way - Graham was our tour guide on the rafting excursion. He gave us a great ride, filled with adventure, information about the environment and great interaction with his passengers. The rafting experience ended with a good lunch by the river assembled by Deon’s(owner’s) wife. All necessary outwear was provided. Highly recommend this excursion and company.

Wonderful Rafting Experience - Deon runs a fantastic rafting company. He was accommodating and easy to work with, even when our cruise ship changed our time in port. He was clear with where he would pick us up and everything ran smoothly. We weren't expecting a cold, gloomy day while we were in Napier, but he had all the gear and clothing we needed to stay warm on the river. He also provided lunch and took pictures throughout our excursion that he emailed to us later. I highly recommend this rafting experience.

Beautiful trip down the river - Awesome trip with fantastic scenery! The scenery was breathtaking g and had fabulous stories along the way. Lunch afterwards was light but a great trip.
