Brilliant way to spend an afternoon - A very informative and fun filled afternoon tour. There were just 8 of us in the group and we were guided by John who was very knowledgeable and good fun. We visited 4 different establishments: Brookfield ( a family run boutique winery and the best), a brewery where we also had snacks of wedges and nachos (not just beer, alcopops also available, Church road winery and finally Mission winery. All very different. Plus local sights and stories. A great afternoon and highly recommended.

Great knowledgeable driver - Terre was a great driver with a great sense of humour and lots of knowledge about Napier and the area. She happily changed a beer tasting booking for a second winery at short notice. We thoroughly enjoyed our excursion and recommend the experience.

Hawke’s Bay Scenic Tours a real winner! - Outstanding tour. Kirsty was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and the tour itself was well planned, interesting and enjoyable. Personal attention for a solo traveller was an unexpected bonus. Absolutely worth a 5 star rating and highly recommended.

Great day tour! - We were so lucky we arrived for the Art Deco Festival! Highly recommend visiting the area when this is on! Our tour guide Kristen (sorry if wrong spelling?) was awesome! Such a beautiful lady, she had a hat and bow tie selection for all of us to wear if we wanted to so we could feel part of the festival!. We were in a 12 seater bus so not a huge group. We went to Mission Vineyards it was a gorgeous old mansion on stunning grounds. The Wine tasting was excellent. We saw the sights and stopped along the way before heading to the beer tasting. Kristens husband who had the other van took photos and gave us some photography tips. We then were dropped back in town where there were brass bands and most of the community dressed in flapper dresses and guys with bowler hats , bow ties etc. Antique cars everywhere and an airshow to finish. What a fabulous day! Thank you !

Fun day! Very organized and small group - Great group of people. Mark, our guide and driver, was very accessible and informative. He also kindly returned a lost phone to our cruise ship. Thanks mate! Could have used more info on the Art Deco portion, but he pointed out quite a bit. Location where we had the wine tasting was beautiful. Lots of info on wine. The last stop for beer/cider tasting was a lot of fun. Big drinks in the 3 pack flights. Try the peach if you like sweet drinks! Food was available- which you need after the wine and beer. Wedges in copious quantities. Nachos with lots of toppings. Lunch fish and chips was plenty for one.

Nice overview of Napier and an excellent winery visit - We had a lovely day with our tour guide Anil in Napier during our cruise ship port day. Communication was excellent with the guide before our trip and they were very good with understanding the docking times of the ship and insured that we were back well before ships departure. The first part of the tour would be best done walking if at all possible, however, they pick you up in a van that seats about 10 people and you drive through the city. As the windows are fairly small, and a lot of the architecture you are trying to view is skyward, it is very difficult to see some of the things they are pointing out. My suggestion would be, if mobility allows, to have this first part of the tour , about an hour of walking so that you could really enjoy the downtown architecture and get some good photos, then return to the van at the aquarium for the rest of the tour. You then travel out to the oldest winery in New Zealand called the mission winery, which has a fantastic story and even better yet, fantastic wines. There’s a lot of history here and you have time to explore a little bit and get some great pictures before you head on to brewery. At the brewery, you have the ability to select your three choices from a list and bring you those selections. They also have some small food items or lunch for purchase if time allows. we just shared some wedge french fries, seven dollars , and they were very good. There was live music playing our last 30 minutes or so at the facility and this person was very talented! The last part of the trip was driving through a residential neighborhood to point out some of the art deco highlights. This would be difficult to walk, but it was a fairly short period of time in the van. They then took you back to the cruise ship port shuttle stop so you could either walk into town and explore some more or you could head back to the ship. As we were finished Well before the last bus to the ship, we spent a bit of time walking around town and had a nice lunch at A bar and bistro that was across the street from the Esplanade area. We had a lovely day and highly recommend this tour company!
