The afternoon sun warms your skin as it filters across the deck. The boat gently turns with your subtle touch at the wheel. Her sails fill as you respond to the gathering winds. You feel fully alive in the dancing diamond field of light and waves. Join us to create a magical memory with your loved ones and friends!

You can participate in the art of sailing as much as desired. You will love the responsiveness of this well-designed sailing vessel! We sail on a 46’ long Hunter 460 ‘Anam Cara’. You don’t have to have any experience in sailing!

You can also enjoy a dive off the boat, a swim, or a paddleboard! Maybe you just want to lay back, enjoy a cold beer or wine, and cherish a rewarding day on the water with good people. You are free to choose!

Please bring what you like to drink or eat (beer or wine is fine), sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, rain jacket or windbreaker, layers for warmth on cooler days, running/tennis/water shoes (no sandals please!), swimwear, and towel. We provide lots of cold sparkling water, PFD, and paddleboards.

Sailing is a life changing experience!

In four hours, you will help sail a large sailing yacht into the sunny waters of Okanagan Lake. We provide hands on instruction and lots of opportunities to learn or just relax.

And it is is unbelievably beautiful! The scenery is spectacular, from the many developed wineries on The Naramata Bench to the wild natural areas and park. Photographers will love it!

The lake is warm and clean. As part of our day, we often anchor up to go for a swim or for a paddleboard. It is the perfect experience to spend a day in the outdoors to create family memories or incredible encounters with friends.

We offer more than sailing. We love people! Explore how to better navigate your life. Learn how to better respond to winds of change. We bring together the skills of sailing and life wisdom: ‘sailing with heart’. It is a mix of sunshine, laughter, friendship and also a meaningful encounter.

Meet us at the wharf for the Naramata Marina. It is located just west of Manitou Park in the village of Naramata BC (a beautiful short drive from Penticton, BC). You can park in Manitou Park or on one of the streets nearby. We will pick you up via tender to Anam Cara.

Fantastic way to experience the Okanagan - Dan and Robyn were fantastic hosts! We had a great day and the other folks on the sail were also really friendly and fun. They even re-jiggered the plan to pick us up at a different spot after we got stuck behind a closed road and nearly missed the sail. Can’t imagine a better way to spend an afternoon!

An unforgettable experience! - Dan and Robyn are simply the most welcoming people ever! Thank you so much for a wonderful trip. The boat is just beautiful and being aboard was a gift and sailing was just the best! No matter what the wind did, we adjusted and enjoyed the experience. Dan is very knowledgable and happy to share his knowledge and experience. Both Dan and Robyn welcomes anyone to learn and jump in on experiencing sailing. They are always on top of weather predictions and take care to ensure a safe journey enjoyed by all. As an example of their kindness and caring, when we heard one of the couples was on their honeymoon, they opened a bottle of bubbly and we all toasted wise words to the young couple and celebrated their commitment. Thank you so much for the joy of being on your gorgeous sailboat and sharing the gift that sailing and being on the water is. I won't ever forget the gift you are to me. I hope to be back and spend more good times together with sun, wind and everything in between. I'm so grateful, thank you! For anyone considering this, this is a very rare experience and I highly recommend it to anyone wishing for an enjoyable adventure on the water. You will not be disappointed. It's a definite must!

Terrific experience - Celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. Heard about this sailing experience from friends. Wow, we’re glad we listened. Awesome experience. Dan and Robyn are wonderful people and very knowledgeable about sailing. And also very accommodating. The added charcuterie board made the celebration that much better! This is a terrific way to see the Okanagan Lake and the beautiful surroundings.

Fun on the water! - An unforgettable day on the water with our friends and hosts, Robyn and Dan.The views were spectacular and we were able to learn about sailing and get some hands on experience!Dan and Robyn are the ultimate gracious hosts and made us feel us right at home. Add some bubbles and charcuterie and this was one of our favourite Okanagan adventures yet!

Fantastic and unforgettable adventure - We were on the lookout for a lasting memory and Dan & Robyn did not disappoint. They welcomed us on board and took us out on an amazing 3 hour long sail. They even let us be part of the actual sailing and showed us the ropes. (Pun intended). We had a lovely, intimate experience. If you are looking for a fantastic time with 2 of the nicest people we’ve ever met, this is a MUST DO! We will be back

Sailing fun - A great sailing adventure for our anniversary this afternoon. Although the weather & wind sometimes had a mind of its own, we had a great time with Dan & Robyn. Definitely a great way to see more of Okanagan Lake & experience something new in sailing. It was a lot of fun with great people who clearly love what they do and want everyone who is with them to enjoy it as well. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Breathtaking views, amazing sailing! - If you want to experience a sailing excursion with real people- ‘ salt of the earth couple’ then an adventure on Anam Cara with Dan and Robyn is for you! In Harmony with Nature - In harmony with nature. On our sailing adventure with this environment friendly couple, on beautiful Lake Okanagan, we learned that to achieve a goal requires a collaboration with the natural world of wind and water. That understanding seemed a universal metaphor to us. The synergy of beautiful scenery, and gracious hosts, gave us a magnificent day of adventure aboard Anam Cara.
