Go for it! - We highly recommend this tour! We did not want to leave Costa Rica without getting close up views of the wildlife and this was the way to go! We wanted to support a business/ tour with fair and erhical treatment of animals! This was the perfect place. It was great to learn about their mission and all they are doing to support the wildlife here. José was our guide and was very kind, funny, and knowledgeable. He felt like a friend to us and gave an in depth tour in very good English! Worth a stop here for sure!

Informative and Interesting Experience - Adriano was our tour guide. The tour was a great introduction into what KSTR does. The sanctuary itself doesn’t have many animals, which makes perfect sense based on their mission. It also definitely makes sense why there isn’t any close up encounters with the animals-people are stressful! They definitely have the animals safety at heart, which is wonderful to see. The drive from Manuel Antonio is beautiful-take note there is just one steep rough section that our 2wd SUV struggled up, but we made it!

Up close with the animals - We had an amazing experience at KSTR today. We volunteered for the day where we did a tour of the facilities, fed some medication to some animals, chopped up food and fed it to them and we were fed a very tasty meal. We were taken back, the staff were so nice and we were able to get so close to monkeys, sloths, parrots and many other animals. Well worth the visit. The last part of the road is steep so you pretty much need a 4wd to travel there.

A special Place - This is a wonderful facility and Jose gave a great tour. This is not a zoo. It’s a facility that rehabilitates injured animals and will hopefully be able to release them back to the wild. Some, those which we see, will never be able to live in the wild again due to the nature of their injuries. They are lovingly cared for, fed and receive the medical attention they require. You get very close to many animals, but they are in cages and you cannot touch them. Their well being is of primary importance. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. It’s a special place.

Great way to learn about Costa Rica's wildlife and support rehabilitation efforts! - Our tour of Kids Saving the Rainforest was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. After finishing the Camino de Costa Rica in Quepos, we took the tour and it was amazing to see some of the animals and birds we had seen on our trip up close, learn more about them, and learn about the great work this rehab center is doing. Our tour guide was great -very knowledgeable and a good sense of humor.

Wonderful place!! - A variety of local wildlife and some other exotics. And yes... There are sloths!! The animals are lively and too cute. Their rescue stories are heartfelt. Our guide JOSÉ was incredibly knowledgeable and informative and it is very clear these animals are living their best life. The people and volunteers love these animals so much, and we felt that. Shout out to José! THANK YOU FOR THE INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!!

Lovely sanctuary with small hotel attached - Had a lovely tour with just two couples on Sunday 9am. Staff and volunteers all very friendly. Lots of information about the work they do rescuing and trying to return injured wildlife to the rainforest if possible. A mixture of animals - (some are long term residents) to see including monkeys, birds sloths etc. Refreshing fresh fruit served at the end with the option to swim in the lovely pool which we had to ourselves. Thoroughly recommend. Eco lodge/ v small hotel Blue Banyan as part of the place looks lovely too.

Girls that love animals - Kids saving the rain forest wildlife sanctuary is a must see on your trip. We went with a group of ladies and enjoyed learning about the animals that are being saved and rehabbed. We saw many types of Costa Rican wildlife and learned about conservation efforts in the area.
