Japan-Wireless 5 Stars - Japan-Wireless 5 Stars! We ordered prior to our trip on line. We requested that the router be sent to our hotel. The item was indeed there at checkin. Seem less to use, took seconds and we were connected. We travelled to various places in Japan and always had full bars and fast internet. Very pleased with the service and product. The only slight complaint is the turn around for responses when you email them.

Ninja WiFi is AWESOME - My wife and I traveled to Japan in Nov 2019 for a week. We rented a Ninja WiFi hotspot a couple days before our arrival and it was a smooth pick up (and return) process from there! The hotspot made life easy while in Japan. Though this review is overdue and many months later, I cannot recall a single time either my wife or I complained about lack of coverage or slow speeds. We stayed mostly in Tokyo during our trip, but we did venture out to Hakone Yuyo Onsen and had no issues with coverage there as well. The batter pack was a very nice additional bonus and we used it daily. PRO-TIP: Google for a promotional or discount code! I think Ninja WiFi also offers some sort of discount to new customers so you may need to create an account and wait for an e-mail. Worst case scenario, reach out to their support team to see if there are any promo codes available. All in all, excellent service and coverage while in Japan. Would highly recommend and will use again next time! Thank you, Ninja WiFi!

Fast, easy and reliable - When we arrived at the airport and arrived at their counter, our wofi router was already packed at ready for pickup. Setup is also very easy. The power bank is a plus. Thank you.

Very bad - Terrible assistance. I booked from Italy for myself and my colleagues and when I picked up there was no reservation. The company passed the responsibility on to another company and made us lose 1 hour. Eventually, we paid for a new rental and left. Don't book it from Italy!!! It is best to rent it directly at the airport given the wide availability.

Router delivery failed - We requested for the router to be picked up at our hotel but it was never delivered . We could not contact anyone to have it delivered at the hotel yet you sent a text to write a review?

Cheaters - It was a nightmare dealing with them. I had forgot to return which I realised after clearing security. I called them while I was still in Tokyo and they confirmed that I will be charged the same daily rate which was applied while I was using it. To my horror, they charged twice plus other charges. In the email, they acknowledged that they provided the wrong information but penalised me for their mistakes. I told them if I had know that they would charge so much, I would have mailed back by express. They are cheaters and thus avoid if you can.

Unfriendly service - The staff was very unfriendly at the Narita Airport. When I picked up the pocket wifi, the staff was very frustrated as I couldn't quite understand what kind of paperwork they needed from me. No one should have to pay for this kind of treatment. Also, I had to constantly recharge the pocket wifi a few times a day. The battery life was very short.

Not unlimited! - After purchasing the unlimited plan, everything was going smoothly. We received the WiFi hotspot at the airport no problem, and connected both our phones. Speed was fast and we had no issues, even in the train. The thing is, the next day it just stopped working, and received a message (in Japanese) on the device. After running it thru google translate (on the hotel’s wifi) we discovered the data limit had been reached!! On an “unlimited” plan! After looking into Ninja Wifi’s site, buried under a tiny link it mentions that after 10 GB in a day, the service may stop working. That should have been way more visible! Also, the device itself accounts for 8.29 GB used today, so not even the “maximum 10 GB”. Overall the service is good, but they just need to be upfront about the limitations instead of falsely claiming to provide an “unlimited” plan.
