- Lake Kawaguchiko - Lake Kawaguchiko boasts a surface elevation of about 830 meters, contributing to its pleasantly cool summers and chilly winters. The area around Lake Kawaguchiko offers various activities.
Visitors can enjoy a ship cruise or a ropeway cable car ride, with each costing 1,000¥ per person.
There are numerous restaurants around Lake Kawaguchiko where visitors can enjoy lunch.
- Chureito Pagoda - The Chureito Pagoda (忠霊塔, Chūreitō) is a five-story pagoda located on a mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City and Mount Fuji in the distance. Part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine, it was constructed as a peace memorial in 1963, nearly 400 steps up the mountain from the shrine’s main buildings.
To visit, one must climb approximately 400 steps to reach the shrine, offering stunning views of the mountains and the shrine itself.
During cherry blossom season, visitors can enjoy the beautiful cherry blooms, and in autumn, the vibrant autumn leaves.
- Oishi Park - Oishi Park, located on the north shore of Kawaguchiko, offers a magnificent view of both the lake and Mt. Fuji simultaneously.
- Oshino Hakkai - Oshino Hakkai is a quaint Japanese village in the Fuji Five Lake region, situated between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako on the site of a former sixth lake that dried up several hundred years ago. The eight ponds are fed by snowmelt from the slopes of nearby Mount Fuji, filtering through porous lava layers for over 80 years, resulting in exceptionally clear spring water revered by locals. Visitors can drink fresh spring water from Mt. Fuji.

- Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine - Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine is one of approximately 1,300 Asama shrines in Japan, dedicated to the deity of volcanoes, particularly Mount Fuji. The shrine is part of the Mt. Fuji UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, designated in 2013.
Asama shrines honor Konohanasakuya-hime (“cherry blossom princess”), the goddess of Mt. Fuji and all volcanoes in Japanese mythology. Most Asama shrines are within sight of Mt. Fuji; where this is not possible due to distance or obstructions, miniature replicas of Mt. Fuji made with rocks from the mountain are erected within the shrine grounds.
- Fuji Shibazakura Festival - This festival typically takes place from mid-April to late May or early June. The optimal time to view the flowers varies each year but usually falls within the first three weeks of May. Around 800,000 stalks of shibazakura in five varieties are displayed, creating enchanting fields of pink, white, and purple hues. Festival stalls offer pots of pink moss, shibazakura-themed souvenirs, food, and local produce to enhance the experience.
